Explore the traditional craft of table braiding with hair in a free public workshop led by guest expert Zen Hansen. Learn a weighted method that turns loose strands into sturdy, dimensional braids historically used for watch chains, bracelets, and keepsake jewelry. Two sessions are available, each focused on a different historical technique. One covers the flat braid at the Alice Hardie Stevens Center behind the Ivinson Mansion. The other teaches the twisted chain pattern at the University of Wyoming Student Union Senate Chambers. No prior experience is required. Space is limited, and reservations can be made through the Carriage House at 307-742-4448.
