The show focuses on authenticity and energy, pairing precision playing with the familiar roar fans love. Kyle LaPato channels the spirit and lead guitar fireworks of Angus Young from the 80s and 90s, Bobby Lee Stamper spans the vocal grit of Bon Scott and the rasp of Brian Johnson, and the rhythm section of Kevin Feller on rhythm guitar, Corey Baetz on drums, and Chris Jones on bass drives a faithful, full-throttle sound. Since officially forming in 2015, Thunderstruck has toured widely with a strong run of sellouts, worked with major promoters and venues such as Live Nation and House of Blues, appeared at festivals including Pensacola Tribute Fest and Parr Fest, and delivered livestream performances for brands like Number Juan Tequila and Monsters of Rock. An Al-Anon meeting centered on mutual support for anyone whose life has been affected by another person’s drinking. Participants share as equals and connect through common experiences. Attendees may come because a spouse or partner struggles with alcoholism, or because the problem drinker is a parent, child, grandchild, sibling, friend, or another relative. Some have more than one loved one who drinks. Although newcomers often look for stories that closely match their own situations, many find that hearing how Al-Anon principles have helped in a variety of circumstances is beneficial over time.

Now in its 16th year, Gumby’s Weekend brings together a variety of activities to raise funds for local families in Manitowoc County affected by cancer. The entry fee is $20 per person and includes a T-shirt when registration and payment are completed by a set deadline. An advanced chunky knit blanket workshop is set at The Nook in the Manitowoc and Two Rivers area, designed exclusively for people who have previously taken a workshop with the instructor. The setting offers bright lighting, a calm environment for creating, and a food and drink menu. Attendance is capped at eight to allow for one-on-one instruction. Participants will make larger lap-size blankets, and each registration includes eight skeins of yarn. The session provides about four hours of instruction, though many will need less. Color choice emails will be sent roughly four weeks before the workshop. Patience is important since everyone will be working on different projects and taking turns for individualized help. It is preferred that attendees feel mostly comfortable working on their own and with the side loop, with guidance available for starting, ending, and color changes. Those who struggle with waiting may consider a private workshop. Ten design options are available with varying details and pricing. Choices include Large Lap Basic Knit in up to three colors at $110, Fall Rainbow at $120 with thin off white stripes between six colors, Neon Rainbow at $120 with thin white stripes between six neon shades, and Watermelon at $120 that requires a tighter knit for the seeds. Mini Hearts Stripes at $130 allows up to three colors, and Mini Hearts Random at $130 allows up to two colors, and both require a tighter knit for the hearts.
