Summer Reading Program 2026 @ Manitowoc Public Library
At Manitowoc Public Library, the Summer Reading Program offers weekly prize opportunities for those who read. Pre-registration is available through the Beanstack app, or a paper tracker can be picked up at the program launch.
Manitowoc Public LibraryWednesdays at 1pm
Weekly Wednesday programs brighten the summer with hourlong sessions that explore a variety of topics. Current highlights include J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue, Animal Training Basics, What is a reptile?, How did that get in my Lunchbox?, and a K9 Officer Demonstration, with additional sessions to be announced. The lineup will be updated as new programs are scheduled, and topics are subject to change.
Lincoln Park ZooZine Scene Summer (Ages 11-18)
At Manitowoc Public Library, young writers and artists collaborate on a summer zine that showcases short stories, poetry, flash fiction, and other creative contributions. Sessions explore storytelling essentials such as narrative structure, choosing effective words, building suspense, and selecting memorable character names. Finished pieces will be collected into a printed zine. Fan fiction and word art are welcome. Intended for ages 11 to 18.
Manitowoc Public LibraryTom Pease
The library lawn sets the stage for a lively Tom Pease performance that pulls the whole crowd into the fun. Expect energetic music that gets everyone up to sing, dance, clap, and laugh. Chairs and blankets are welcome, although staying seated may not last long once the show gets going. And yes, do not forget your belly button.
