GM/JATCO Redevelopment Community Visioning Workshop
The City and the GM/JATCO Redevelopment Advisory Board present a Community Visioning Workshop at the Hedberg Public Library Program Room, the first major public event supporting the redevelopment planning project. This open house marks the start of a broad engagement effort to shape a conceptual plan for the former GM and JATCO properties, a 250-acre site undergoing long-term planning, environmental review, and reuse study. The format encourages participation at any pace, with opportunities to suggest how the site could evolve, set priorities for land uses, amenities, and economic opportunities, and talk through community needs, compatibility with surrounding areas, and redevelopment challenges. Expect hands-on stations, large maps of the area, and multiple ways to share feedback in writing or in conversation. Members of the Redevelopment Advisory Board, City staff, and the project’s planning consultants will be available to answer questions and listen to input. Insights gathered here, together with feedback from future engagement, will guide the conceptual planning work ahead.

06/24/26: Self-Love Shift Sisterhood Circle (In-Person)
An in-person sisterhood circle invites gentle reflection, heartfelt conversation, and guided practices that nurture self-awareness, build self-trust, and help you feel more grounded in who you are becoming. The experience is facilitated as group self-love coaching and emphasizes being witnessed and supported rather than striving for perfection. This month’s focus is self-worth. There is relaxed time to connect before the facilitated portion, and the broader Self-Love Shift Sisterhood membership participates virtually later in the gathering. Please bring a journal and a small item that helps you feel rooted, such as a crystal, a photo, or a small piece of art to place on a personal altar tray, along with an open heart. Comfort items for sitting on the floor are welcome, and yoga mats, blankets, pens, and index cards are available if needed. The fee is $22, and space is limited to 12 participants. Workshop fees are non-refundable and registrations cannot be transferred to another session, however if the minimum is not met or the workshop is canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, tickets will be fully refunded or exchanged.

A self-love day camp for teens in grades 7 to 12 invites participants to explore the Week 1 theme, Mirror of Me: I Am Canvas, with a focus on self-awareness and identity. This session is part of a weekly series with distinct creative themes, and teens may attend a single date or mix and match multiple sessions, each paid individually. The day blends mindfulness and art, featuring guided meditation, journaling, a calming sound bath, simple breathwork, and hands-on projects to take home. Snacks and drinks are provided, while lunch is not included, so participants should bring a packed lunch. A charm bar is available where each teen can assemble a small thank you gift from Stephanie Locchetta Art. The experience aims to build confidence, nurture self-acceptance, encourage emotional expression through creativity, strengthen friendships and self-knowledge, and offer practical tools for resilience, healthy boundaries, and goal setting. The fee is 75 dollars per session. Group size is kept small with a minimum of two and a maximum of six teens, and private sessions are available for groups of four to six. The poker run sets out from The Lucky Bell and is open to motorcycles, cars, and trucks. The route includes The Showboat Burgers 'N' Beer, Snuffy’s Still, 59er Sip & Swing, and Last Nite Bar & Grill. Proceeds benefit Edgerton Community Outreach programs for local veterans in need. Presented with support from American Legion Post 205 and Bucky’s Lucky Bell for the fourth consecutive year. Months of collaboration by Milton residents culminate in an unveiling and dedication of a new community quilt celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary. Inspired by the community’s 1976 bicentennial quilt, community members contributed individual blocks, and Loose Threads in Milton is assembling the final piece. Hosted at the Milton House, the program highlights the local Fourth of July weekend while honoring the stories of the United States, Wisconsin, and Milton. The quilt will become a permanent part of the Milton House collections. Both the 1976 bicentennial quilt and the new commemorative quilt will be displayed in the Milton House lobby for the remainder of 2026.

The gathering is guided like a group self-love coaching session. There is time for casual connection, and during part of the circle the Self-Love Shift Sisterhood Membership group joins virtually. "Wisconsin 101: Doing Local History with Objects": In-Person Badger Talk in Janesville, WI
This free, in-person talk, presented by the Janesville Senior Activity Center, explores how objects can serve as gateways to local history. Tom Broman, who co-directed Wisconsin 101, will discuss a public history effort that puts artifacts at the center of community stories from across the state. Broman’s work also examines science and medicine in the Enlightenment, the place of science in public life, and 18th-century German intellectual and cultural history.
