Redmond LibraryJoseph Eckert, author of THE TRAVELER
Brick & Mortar Books hosts local author Joseph Eckert for the release of his debut speculative time travel novel, The Traveler. The story centers on Scott Treder, who suddenly begins leaping ahead in time. What starts as a single lost day doubles again and again until weeks and years disappear in an instant. As Scott skips forward, his wife works to keep their life intact while their son, Lyle, races through school and delves into quantum physics in a determined effort to bring his father back. Eckert grew up in northern Wisconsin, studied history at the University of Wisconsin Madison, and earned a master’s in political science from the University of Iowa. He has been writing speculative fiction since high school and is drawn to portraying believable people in extraordinary situations, and he now lives in the Greater Seattle area with his family.
