Live music by Katty sets the tone, joined by shows from La Familia Lamas Chiflada and from Cristina Pekitas and Totoy. Families can enjoy games and a lively atmosphere, with complimentary popsicles, ice cream, aguas frescas, desserts, toys, and more. All activities and treats are free, and the event is designed for all ages. Paleteria PolarEmpowerment Community Forum With Dr. Juan Mejia
This community forum with Dr. Juan Mejia, president of Tyler Junior College, brings together residents, leaders, organizations, and students to discuss opportunities, resources, and the community’s path forward. Participants can connect, exchange ideas, and work together on issues that matter locally, with an emphasis on strengthening partnerships, increasing awareness, and empowering individuals to make a difference. The format centers on engagement, education, collaboration, and resource sharing, and it is designed so every voice has a chance to be heard. This event is free and open to the public.
Monday Open Mic
Rose City Comedy hosts an open mic built for raw, boundary-pushing stand-up with a punk rock attitude. Newcomers and seasoned locals step up to try unfiltered material, delivering sets that can soar or crash as Tyler’s scene takes shape one fearless performance at a time. The atmosphere leans underground rather than corporate, sign-ups are handled in order of arrival, and the spotlight stays on bold voices, local support and plenty of noise.
