Budding Botanists

This program is designed for early elementary-aged children. It explores plants, gardening skills, and botany through stories and hands-on activities. Each session incorporates a read-aloud related to the theme, along with a learning component that features an activity or experiment around a plant type. Kids may learn how to layer soil for gardens, about germinating seeds, and explore edible plants. Weather permitting, sessions may be held outdoors. Check in at the youth desk before heading to the program location. Registration is recommended, but walk-ins are welcome if supplies are available.

Baby Storytime

This storytime is for babies who are not yet walking, and their caregivers are encouraged to attend. Keep in mind that you must get an entry pass at the Childrens Desk to be admitted. Geared toward children who are not yet walking, this class will encourage babies to explore the world of language and develop motor skills through books, songs, rhymes and related activities. All attendees must have an entry pass to attend weekly classes. Passes are free and available upon request at the Youth Services Desk beginning 30 minutes before the start of the program until all passes have been distributed.

First Aid CPR AED Skills Session

An American Red Cross instructor-led skills session in First Aid, CPR, and AED centers on identifying and addressing breathing or cardiac emergencies, as well as providing immediate care for sudden illness or injury until advanced medical responders take over. This session delivers the hands-on component of American Red Cross Adult, Child, and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED training and certification. The required online course is not included, and must be purchased and completed beforehand for the specific certification you plan to earn. Certification options offered are Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED, Adult CPR/AED, and Adult First Aid. The online learning covers videos and lectures, while the instructor-led practice time concentrates on practical skills and realistic scenarios. This gathering centers on connection and self care. Please arrange childcare and do not bring children to the studio. Bring any yoga props you prefer, since quantities on site are limited. A small number of extra mats, bolsters, and blankets will be available on a first come, first served basis, so consider bringing what you need to feel fully supported and comfortable. Suggested items include a yoga mat, a blanket, a bolster or pillow for under your head or knees, comfortable clothing, socks, and a water bottle. An intermediate DUPR-rated evening of doubles welcomes players whose ratings fall between 3.5 and 4.25. Play follows a round robin format with set partners. Sign up as an individual, list a preferred partner during registration if you have one, or get paired by the organizers. All participants must meet the rating requirement, and entries outside that range may be declined. Introductory pricing is 5 dollars for PnP members and 15 dollars for nonmembers. The Amazing Acro-Cats Gallivant in Grapevine!

The Amazing Acro-Cats, seen on the Netflix series Cat People, bring a 90 minute show to The Palace Theatre in Grapevine, Texas. This troupe of trained house cats, all former orphans, rescues, and strays, performs a variety of feats that include riding skateboards, jumping through hoops, ringing bells, balancing on balls, and other displays of agility and acrobatics. The finale features Tuna and the Rock Cats, described as the only all-cat band in the world, with feline musicians on guitar, drums, and piano, joined by the Jazz Cats on saxophone, trumpet, and clarinet. The tour supports Rock Cats Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on cat welfare, rescue, and adoption, promoting positive reinforcement training while finding homes for rescued cats. Since 2009, Rock Cats Rescue has placed hundreds of cats and kittens. FOUR THE CUP TOURNAMENT

FOUR THE CUP brings together DFW golfers of all abilities for a four-person scramble with a strong charitable focus at Cowboy Golf Club in Grapevine, Texas. Conceived by FOUR’s creative director and co-founder, Prince Whiting IV, the event pairs friendly competition with support for First Tee Fort Worth. FOUR, a Dallas-based premium golf apparel brand focused on elevated golf wear, is producing an event-only run of t-shirts, polos, and hats, with 50 percent of net proceeds benefiting First Tee Fort Worth and its youth development work through the game. A special challenge on Hole 18 features Micheal Furrh’s 8-foot Driver Cheat4Charity, where participants can pay an additional fee to take shots with his oversized clubs. Micheal Furrh is a Guinness World Records holder, and net proceeds from the challenge entries support First Tee Fort Worth youth programs. Summer Youth Camp 2026

A spirited youth cheer camp invites participants to build skills and confidence through coaching from professional and collegiate cheerleaders in collaboration with Express Cheer camps. Campers learn a mix of dances, chants, and age-appropriate stunts, play engaging games, and take part in team-building activities that help them make new friends. Groups are organized by grade so everyone gets the right level of challenge and support. Each day features recognition with special cheer-hair ribbons for skills, character, and behavior, and campers who receive ribbons are encouraged to wear them the following day. Every participant receives a camp T-shirt and a cheer bow, and the week wraps up with a showcase highlighting the routines learned. Supervision is provided by staff along with Marcus cheer coaches and cheerleaders, and an optional photo session with Jerry Hughes Photography is available. Themed dress-up adds extra fun throughout the week, with silly socks and a camp shirt on the first day, bright neon and plenty of sparkle on the second day, and a camp shirt with a bow on the final day. DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series Race 2

The Burning Soles Trail Series turns up the heat in the DFW metroplex with a weekly 5K and 10K off road run on noted North Texas singletrack. This second race in the series takes place at Grapevine North Shore Trail - MADD Shelter and is designed to be beginner friendly and community focused, with well marked routes and a festive finish line atmosphere. All participants are chip timed. At your first appearance in the series you will receive a bib to use each time you race. The course follows laps of Loop 5 with a short section of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround where a water cache will be available. Races feature a mass start for each distance with all divisions starting together, and both distances share the course. The 10K wave begins first, creating a 45 minute gap to help with spacing. Distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions. The series builds in two rain dates per round, and any weather cancellations are moved to designated make up days. Weekly podiums recognize the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, with age group call ups as well. Divisions include 5K juniors 13 and under mixed gender, 5K under 40 men, 5K under 40 women, 5K masters 41 plus men, 5K masters 41 plus women, and the same categories for the 10K. At the conclusion of the eight week series, overall awards honor the top three in each division. Juniors 13 and under may register for the full series for $16, pre register for $20 until Monday at midnight of race week, or late register for $30. Adults 14 and up may register for the full series for $24, pre register for $30 until Monday at midnight of race week, or late register for $40.

Campers can look forward to archery, BB shooting, field sports, nature exploration, arts and crafts, and hands-on Scout skills. It is also a chance to experience Cub Scouts before connecting with a local pack. Young Actors Workshop

Hosted by Loop Music Academy at Coppell Arts Center, this half-day, weeklong band camp invites students to build confidence, make music with peers, and experience what it feels like to play in a real band. Participants try out different instruments in a supportive setting, rehearse in small ensembles guided by professional musicians, write and arrange an original song together, get a first look at recording and basic studio techniques, play music games that strengthen core skills, and cap the week with a live showcase performance. No prior band experience is needed, so beginners and seasoned students are both welcome. Separate sessions are available for grades 2 to 5 and for grades 6 to 12. Enrollment is limited, and band lineups are created as sign-ups come in.

DSOD Contemporary Intensive

This summer contemporary intensive at the DSOD Southlake location focuses on connecting strong technique with honest emotion. Dancers will explore fresh movement pathways, hone musicality, and expand expressive range to develop a unique artistic voice. Open to ages 7 and up. Cost is $305.

DSOD Taylor Swift Summer Dance Camp

Swifties ages 5 and up can dive into a Taylor Swift inspired summer dance camp with DSOD. Participants learn high-energy choreography, sing along to favorite tracks from across her eras, and build friendships in a fun, upbeat setting. Sessions are offered in Southlake, Keller, and Coppell. Tuition is listed between $279 and $299.

DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series Race 4

Race 4 of the DFW Burning Soles Trail Running Series brings beginner friendly, community centered trail racing to the Northshore Trail MADD Shelter in Grapevine. Runners can choose a 5K or 10K on well marked singletrack with an energetic finish line atmosphere. The route uses laps of Loop 5 with a short portion of Loop 6 to a natural turnaround, where a water cache will be available. All participants are chip timed, and at a runner’s first race in the series a bib is assigned for use at subsequent races. Each distance uses a mass start, and both distances share the trail with the longer race beginning earlier to create spacing. Registration options include full series, pre registration, and late registration, with juniors 13 and under priced at $16, $20, and $30, and adults 14 and up at $24, $30, and $40. Weekly podiums recognize the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, with additional recognition for juniors 13 and under, under 40 men, under 40 women, masters 41 plus men, and masters 41 plus women in both the 5K and 10K, and the series concludes with overall awards for the top three in each division. Events are held weekly on this section of trail, rain cancellations will move to designated make up dates, and course distances are approximate based on conditions.

June Silent Book Club - Roanoke, Texas

Gather at Aromas On Oak for an informal Silent Book Club focused on quiet reading and friendly conversation with fellow readers. The event begins with a welcome and time to chat and order food and drinks, which are available for purchase. It then moves into a full hour of silent reading with any book, eBook, or audiobook, followed by the option to continue reading or discuss your book with others. HHB Summer Small Group Camp; How to Become a Solid Offensive and Defensive Player; 6th-8th (Boys)

Strengthen both offensive and defensive skills in a focused training program centered on understanding the game from every angle. Designed for 6th to 8th graders, this session combines clear instruction with purposeful practice to help participants grow into well-rounded players. Training takes place in an air-conditioned gym for added comfort. The cost is $180.

Weekly podiums recognize the top three men and top three women in both distances, with age group acknowledgments for juniors 13 and under, under 40, and masters 41 plus. Series awards conclude the season by honoring the top three in every division. Registration options are available for juniors 13 and under and for adults 14 and up, including full series, pre-registration, and late registration tiers. If weather forces a cancellation, make up dates are built into the schedule. Course distances are approximate and may vary with trail conditions.
