Teen Learning Zoo
Teens can explore the world of animals with a presentation by The Learning Zoo. Designed for ages 12 to 18, this program requires advance registration through the library’s events calendar. Two sessions are available, and participants should register for only one. All library programs are free and open to the public. For accessibility needs, please contact the host library location at least three days before the program.

Pacific Yard House hosts a trivia night built around a blend of general knowledge and pop culture. Rounds may be themed and timed, with music and video challenges, and prizes are handed out after each round. From time to time, celebrity guests drop in to ask a question. Top finishers receive awards for first, second, and third place, with bonus prizes from local breweries, The Adventure Begins/The Adventure Stadium, the Color Bar, conventions, sporting events, and more. A full food menu is available along with a wide selection of cold brews on tap.
Pacific Yard HouseBaseball World Series - June 24-28, 2026
Hosted at Scrap Yard Sports in Houston, this World Series event brings together D1 and D2 travel teams ages 9U to 16U for four days of high-intensity baseball. The schedule features festive opening ceremonies, head-to-head skills competitions, and between five and seven games per team, all played within a distinctive two-sided bracket that includes Gold and Silver divisions. The tournament emphasizes a championship-caliber environment on elite synthetic turf complexes where every pitch has meaning and each game can shape the outcome. Away from the diamond, families will find added fun with water and thrill parks, plus beaches close by.
