Woven Waves ~ Flow Yoga & Sound Frequency

At Deep Breaths Salon & Holistic Self Empowerment Center, this session invites you to explore the connection of mind, body, and spirit through a blend of movement and sound. It begins with 30 minutes of gentle yoga to soften tension and prepare for deeper meditation. After the movement practice, settle into a comfortable lying position for a 60 minute sound bath that surrounds you with calming tones for deep relaxation and restoration. The yoga warmup helps the body and mind receive the vibrations more fully, encouraging balance, ease, and a more mindful state.

Banned Book Club

As part of the Banned Book Club, this discussion focuses on Fahrenheit 451, a classic frequently challenged for its portrayal of censorship and its social consequences. The conversation will delve into the world of Guy Montag, a fireman who starts fires to destroy books, and consider why the novel continues to appear on banned book lists. Argentine Tango-Adv beginner & Beginner Lessons

Explore Argentine Tango through a six-week series designed for two different experience levels. One track supports advanced beginners with prior experience, and the other welcomes brand new dancers. Each week includes dedicated practice time between the two classes to reinforce new skills, and there will be a pause for Memorial Day. The cost is $75 per person for the full six-week series. If you register for the advanced beginner track, you may also stay for the beginner class at no additional cost. No partner is required, since partners rotate during lessons. Participants may choose to lead or follow regardless of gender. If rotating is not comfortable, consider private lessons or attend with a partner to work with throughout the class. All genders and sexual orientations are welcome. Instruction is led by Steven Spura and Sue Davis. A minimum number of registrations is required to run the series. If the series is canceled by the organizers, registrants receive a full refund. Refunds are not available if you cancel.
