An evening of discovery, food, and fun centered on social deduction gameplay where participants take on the roles of traitors and faithfuls. Inspired by the TV show on Peacock, several guests are secretly chosen as traitors while everyone else builds alliances, socializes, and works to uncover them. Make it to the end to earn a prize gift card. If a traitor survives to the finish, no one wins. After each discovery session, a faithful is “murdered,” raising the stakes as the night goes on. The experience includes heavy appetizers in classic dinner party style, featuring cheese, charcuterie, veggies, fruit, and specialty dips, along with drunken mushroom crostini, Portuguese sliders, stuffed apple and brie sliders, winter scallops with Brussel sprouts, and assorted desserts. Cocktails, beer, and wine will be available for purchase. The ticket price includes the tip for food, and tickets are non-refundable but transferable.
The Handsome CabYork Township 4-Week Advanced Beginner Line Dance Series
Take your line dancing beyond the basics with a four-week series at the York Township Park Building created for advanced beginners who have finished a beginner class and feel comfortable with fundamental terms and steps. Each session adds slightly more intricate dances, quicker transitions, and new patterns, with instruction that stays clear, encouraging, and enjoyable so you can build confidence, flow, and stamina. Participants receive step sheets for every routine along with access to demonstration, instructional, and music videos for practice at home. Ages 12 and older are welcome. Handel's Homemade Ice CreamCrochet Basics 6-Part Series EVENING
Learn crochet from the ground up in a six-part series created for complete beginners. You will practice on a set of coasters that grow in complexity and techniques, then cap the journey by making a hat as the final project. Topics include three or four essential stitches, how to read and start a pattern, yarn basics, changing yarn, binding off, neat finishing methods, and understanding gauge so projects fit as intended. Enrollment is limited to four students to allow plenty of individual guidance. The curriculum was developed by an instructional designer and crocheter to give newcomers a clear, supportive path. Each session comes with a handout that includes the pattern used that day, suggestions for additional practice, and links to video playlists so you can review at home. The atmosphere is low pressure and encouraging, focused on steady skill-building. Plan on weekly homework of about one to two hours to reinforce what you learn. If that practice time is not realistic right now, consider waiting until you can commit. Bring your own supplies or purchase a materials kit for $10 at the first session. Additional items will be needed for the hat. No prior experience is required. An optional fifth meeting offers a gauge check and a make-together, followed by a two week break to work on the hat before the final session. Instruction is led by Rachel Melnyk.

A group screening of the award-winning drama I Swear (2026) will be held at Regal West Manchester Stadium 13 in York, Pennsylvania. The film follows John Davidson, diagnosed with Tourette's syndrome at a young age, whose condition isolated him from classmates and from a community unfamiliar with what he was experiencing. It is rated R for language and violence. PATSA staff and board members plan to attend and can be found in the lobby after the movie for an informal conversation, identifiable by a flyer displaying their logo.

Celebrate Hiking and Trail Safety Day with a family friendly kids safety hike at William H Kain Park. The South Central Search and Rescue team will start things off at the pavilion with a talk and hands on demonstrations, then the group will head to the restrooms before beginning the walk from the docks by the kayak rental house. The hike will move at a child led pace and will likely run a bit over an hour, with plenty of room for curiosity and exploring along the way. Plan to come prepared with the basics for a safe outing. Helpful items include navigation tools like a map, GPS, or compass; a headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries; sun protection such as sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat; a first aid kit that covers insect repellent and children’s medications; a small knife or multi tool; simple fire starting supplies; and a lightweight emergency shelter like a tarp or thermal blanket. Pack extra food and water, and consider purification tablets or a filter. Extra layers are recommended, including a warm hat, light long sleeves to limit brush contact, and pants with cuffs to help reduce tick exposure. A small trash bag is a great bonus so everything you bring in can be carried out. Giving kids their own small backpack and water bottle can add to the fun. Children over four can often carry about 5 to 15 percent of their body weight, but be sure to account for the weight of water and the pack itself. Younger children can wear an empty pack just to get used to it. Extras for after the hike are smart too, like spare clothes, snacks, and water for the ride home. A travel potty, clean socks, towels, and wet wipes make cleanup easy. If there is any chance you might need to carry a tired hiker, bring a backup child carrier and remember that the distance out is also the distance you may need to carry them back. Safety expectations on the trail will be reviewed with kids. They should only eat food provided by their adults, stay on the path and within sight, and stop at every junction. Moving slowly and carefully is important whenever it is steep, rocky, downhill, or wet. Children should keep to the side of the trail away from edges, avoid running or jumping near ledges or on rocky sections, and try to keep shoes and clothing dry to prevent getting chilled. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to think ahead, carry a solid first aid kit, and know basic first aid skills. An emergency locator beacon is worth considering. Know your group’s abilities, be ready to turn around if needed, and hike with others when possible. Pause at trail intersections to orient, look at maps together, and involve kids in route finding so it becomes a habit. Point out hazardous plants and explain why they should be avoided. Keep in mind that higher elevations can feel cooler and the air may be thinner. A simple takeaway from the training highlights what to do if a child becomes separated, including the importance of staying in one place. This outing takes place on the William Kain Trail Loop 3. Plan to meet first at the pavilion near the trailhead and parking area before heading out.

Reproductions, copyrighted or trademarked imagery, and AI-generated work are not accepted. Artwork will be reviewed and selected for display. Give Local York is a 24-hour online giving initiative hosted by the White Rose Leadership Institute that brings the community together to support local nonprofits. Over the past eight years, thousands of donors have raised millions of dollars for organizations across York County, and in 2025 nearly 13,000 donors contributed $5.58 million in a single day. A First Friday art exhibition at Marketview Arts centers on community and connection. Photographs spotlight local nonprofit organizations, and a silent auction offers matted prints to take home. All auction proceeds are directed through Give Local York to benefit community art programs. The project is presented in partnership with the Cultural Alliance of York, local artist Carla B. Long, York College’s Center for Community Engagement, Give Local York, White Rose Leadership Institute, the Pennsylvania Council for the Arts, and York College students from the FYS Belonging Blueprints class taught by Professor Myra Toms.

Discover tatting, a shuttle-based lace technique with roots in the 1800s, in a beginner friendly two-part class. Part 1 concentrates on forming double stitches, and Part 2 applies those skills to create spring flower motifs. Participants learn how to load a shuttle, choose thread, make double stitches, form rings and chains, create picots, and join elements using picots. Expect to practice between sessions since tatting projects can take time, and plan to begin or finish a flower by the end while receiving ideas for expanding the design into cards, doilies, jewelry, and other projects. No prior experience is needed, and the class is intended for adults and teens 14 and up. All supplies are included, with a Boye tatting shuttle, eight thread sample colors, a small organza bag, and shared classroom tools provided. Taught by Kyle Peterson. The opening reception celebrates a solo exhibition by Andy Wertz in the Upper Room Gallery at Creatives on King. Originally from Paxtang, PA, Wertz studied art education at Millersville University and later continued with illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. He lives in Red Lion with his wife and two sons in a family-built log cabin, and their frequent woodland hikes inspire the studies that inform his work and his classroom. A longtime teacher at Central York High School, he often incorporates these studies into instruction and values collaborative energy in the studio. His paintings channel the vitality of nature, from nearby trails to far-off valleys, created in oil, acrylic, and watercolor.

A free family film night at the Capitol Theatre in the Appell Center for the Performing Arts features a trio of classic Winnie the Pooh shorts. The program includes Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day (1968), where Pooh and his friends face blustery winds, heavy rain and a flood in the Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree (1966), in which Christopher Robin's honey-loving bear attempts to reach a beehive high in a tree, and Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too (1974), as Rabbit, tired of Tigger's constant bouncing, teams up with Pooh and Piglet to try to take the bounce out of Tigger. Admission is free and tickets are not required, with concessions available for purchase. Week four of this spring running series in Shiloh takes place at Sunset Lane Park and welcomes children from Pre-K through 8th grade. The program spans five weeks each season, meeting once per week, and offers age-appropriate races that include 50 and 75 yard sprints along with quarter mile, half mile, and one mile distances. Participants earn points after each race based on their finish. An adaptive 75 yard Challenger Division is available for children with disabilities or special needs. HIVE artspace in York, Pennsylvania is inviting artwork that celebrates pairs and partnerships of every kind. Think people who belong together, objects that complement one another, favorite foods, places, creatures, or natural elements that make sense side by side. All media are welcome for consideration, including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, air-dry or polymer clay, assemblage, 3D printing, fiber art, ceramics, collage, photography, and stained glass. Submission is free, and selection is not guaranteed. Artists may send up to three works for review. If accepted, there is a single $5 exhibit fee regardless of how many pieces are included, and the gallery retains a 35 percent commission on sales. Final pieces must arrive ready to hang or display. Most works are installed on a single nail, sawtooth hangers are acceptable, and command strips are not. Submit in one email using the subject line DUOS2026. Include up to three images in JPG or PNG format, each no larger than 3 MB. Photographs should accurately represent the work, as these images may appear in the online gallery. Explore the remarkable journey of S. Morgan Smith, a former Moravian minister who left the pulpit to build washing machines and became a leading industrial figure in York’s history. This program traces his path from early hardship to lasting success and explains how his ideas and enterprises gave rise to five companies that ultimately employed more than 2,000 people. It also offers a closer look at the founder of the S. Morgan Smith Company, which later evolved into Voith Hydro. The presentation is given by Rev. Dr. Stephen Nicholas, who served forty-one years in the ministry of the Moravian Church before retiring to his hometown of York, together with his colleague Terry Downs. They have presented this program more than forty times to audiences across York, Adams, Lancaster, and Lehigh Counties. Nicholas and Downs coauthored the 2017 biography Reinventing the Wheel, the Incredible Story of S. Morgan Smith, Minister, Inventor, Industrialist, and copies are available in the History Center gift shop during regular hours. Please note that the galleries will not be open during the program.

Led by Give Girls Grace, the program aims to expand opportunities in both athletics and academics for young girls. Designed for boys entering grades 2 through 8, this basketball camp builds fundamentals and game knowledge in a supportive, high-energy setting. Hosted at Christian School of York, it is led by CSY Varsity Boys Basketball Coach John Zerfing and his staff. Instruction is both purposeful and fun, with campers grouped by age, grade, and skill level to create the best experience for everyone. Each participant receives a basketball and a shirt. The list of attending dogs will be shared the weekend before and updated each day as meetings take place leading up to the event. To adopt through PACK9, a pre-approved application is required, and every member of the household, including people and resident dogs, must be present to meet a potential new family member. Applications are available on the organization’s website. The event is open to the public, and pre-approval is only needed to adopt, not to meet the dogs. Guests are asked not to use this as a socialization outing for their own pets and to bring resident dogs only if pre-approved for a specific meet. Please be respectful of the host location, whose continued support helps the rescue carry out its work.

Part of a four event SORRCA summer series, this competition takes place at White Rose Hobbies, LLC. Classes will be announced, with likely options including Class 1, Class 2, Class 3, and TRX4 Sport. Scoring follows SORRCA guidelines, and judging is a shared effort among participants, with experienced help available for anyone who prefers guidance. Each SORRCA course runs 8 minutes and each WRCCA course runs 6 minutes, with three courses per class. All trucks must pass tech inspection before entering a course. Entry fees are $25.00 for one class, $45.00 for two, $55.00 for three, and $65.00 for four to five classes. The crawler course will be closed on the Friday before each event.
