This setting is a good fit for children who enjoy hands-on, sensory-rich play or who benefit from supported exploration in a calm, encouraging environment. Please send a water bottle, clothes that can get messy, any helpful sensory or comfort item, and a snack if that supports your child’s session. First-time campers complete a brief intake with a form before attending, and a one-time intake fee applies for the camp season. LEGO Builders Club: STEM Teamwork Camp
Children dive into STEM by tackling hands-on LEGO projects that spark curiosity and teamwork. In a supportive setting they design structures and mechanisms, put them to the test, make improvements, and discover how communication and flexible thinking help ideas grow. Guided projects and group missions highlight both engineering and collaboration. Campers build towers, bridges, ramps, mazes, vehicles, and original inventions, then work together to troubleshoot by exploring balance, structure, patterns, and cause and effect. Mistakes are treated as part of learning, so kids build, test, refine, and celebrate progress. The camp is organized in separate groups for K–2nd and 3rd–5th graders, with small session sizes of up to six for the younger group and up to eight for the older. All abilities are welcome and no prior LEGO or STEM experience is required, making it a good fit for kids who enjoy creating, problem solving, hands-on learning, or who benefit from supported teamwork and clear structure. Held at Aaron’s Corner LLC in Newberg, participants should bring a water bottle, comfortable clothes for movement, any helpful sensory or comfort item, and a snack if needed. New families are asked to complete an intake form before attending. First-time campers also take part in a brief intake meeting and pay a one-time $50 intake fee for the 2026 camp season. The weekly rate is $100 for K–2 and $125 for 3–5.

The Nora Madelyn Fund for Infant and Child Loss and the Providence Newberg Medical Center Perinatal Loss Committee present the 18th annual remembrance ceremony honoring families who have experienced the loss of a baby during pregnancy or in infancy. Held in the Healing Garden at Providence Newberg Medical Center, the gathering features readings and music and offers participating families the chance to release a butterfly in memory of their child. The ceremony lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, followed by a reception with desserts. This is an in-person event and will be photographed, though it will not be recorded. Butterflies are not available for pickup; if attendance is not possible, a volunteer will release your butterfly. Through gentle yoga-style movement, mindfulness games, breathing practices, and encouraging coaching, campers learn practical ways to feel steady and in charge of their bodies and emotions at home, at school, and with friends. Activities focus on stretching and balance for body awareness, simple strategies to slow down and reset, guided choices for handling big feelings, and creating calming visuals or reminders to use beyond camp. Two age groups help tailor the experience, with separate sessions for grades K–2 and grades 3–5. All abilities are welcome and no prior yoga or mindfulness experience is needed. Group sizes are intentionally small, with up to 6 campers in K–2 sessions and up to 8 campers in 3–5 sessions. Campers should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothes for gentle movement. Any helpful sensory or comfort item is welcome, and a snack can be sent if it supports the child’s session. First-time participants complete a brief intake meeting and form, and there is a one-time $50 intake fee for the camp season. Tuition is $100 per week for K–2 and $125 per week for 3–5.

Participation is intentionally limited to keep the experience focused and engaging, with a maximum of 6 campers in K–2 sessions and 8 in 3rd–5th sessions. All abilities are welcome, and the camp is a good fit for children who enjoy dinosaurs, movement, sensory play, digging, and hands-on learning in a calm, supportive environment. Campers should bring a water bottle, comfortable clothing suitable for movement and a bit of mess, any helpful sensory or comfort items, and a snack if needed. First-time participants complete a brief intake meeting and form, and there is a one-time $50 intake fee for new campers. Pricing is $100 per week for K–2 and $125 per week for 3rd–5th. Spaces are limited to support meaningful, hands-on exploration.

Thursday through Saturday feature daily road and gravel rides lasting about 3 to 5 hours at a zone 1 to 3 pace, and Sunday morning wraps up with a mountain bike outing before everyone heads home. Sessions for K to 2nd are limited to 6 participants, and sessions for 3rd to 5th are limited to 8. A snack can be included if needed for your child's session. First time participants should complete an intake form before attending. Walk In The Park Golf Tournament 2026
The annual golf tournament that anchors Walk in the Park’s fundraising efforts takes place at Michelbook Country Club and is planned for the cooler hours of the morning. Attendees may participate as golfers, sponsors, or both, with a day that features 18 holes, a golf cart, range balls, an on-course game package, prizes, and a catered lunch following play. The competition uses a four-person scramble format in which everyone tees off, the team chooses the preferred ball, then each player hits the next shot from that spot within one club length without moving closer to the hole, and every player’s tee shot must be used twice during the round. Teams can register together or individuals can sign up separately and be grouped with their teammates. Individual entry is $150 and a four-player team is $600. The event is run entirely by volunteers, and all proceeds support the Walk in the Park foundation’s work for local children and the community.
