Gallery Theater presents Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, a quick-moving, intellectually playful comedy that follows two supporting figures from Hamlet as they try to make sense of a world they barely understand. Familiar faces from the Danish court drift through their journey, drawing the pair toward an outcome they cannot alter. John Hamilton directs a local ensemble bringing Stoppard’s layered language to life, with Reese Madden and Delaney Sump in the title roles, Danielle Ross as the Player, and appearances by Sean Soren Brady as Hamlet, Sarah Munk as Ophelia, Dave Ferry as Claudius, Beth Moore as Gertrude, and Ben Lapp as Polonius. The company also features Kevin Folgate, Thomas Millage, Tonya Nichols, Soren Smithrud, and Sara Wright. Recommended for ages 13 and up. A sworn government whistleblower who recently testified before Congress makes a first public appearance outside formal proceedings. N Pine St, Carlton, OR 97111, United StatesSpeaker Presentation: Kelly Chase
At McMinnville Community Center, researcher and storyteller Kelly Chase presents a talk that shifts the UFO conversation from objects in the sky to the people who report encounters. Drawing on historical cases, recent studies, and recurring patterns across sightings, contact accounts, and other anomalous events, she explores what truly defines an experiencer. The presentation asks whether witnesses are passive observers or participants in an interaction that connects consciousness, the material world, and meaning. It considers why many reports unfold through symbolism rather than literal details, and how such moments can reshape identity, beliefs, and a person’s sense of reality. Instead of offering simple conclusions, the talk suggests that contact may function more like an initiation than a straightforward visitation, and it presents a framework that places experiencers at the center of the UFO inquiry. Only service animals are permitted in the McMinnville Community Center. Pets are not allowed.
