Market in Motion
Market in Motion fills High Rock Park with food, dance, hands-on activities, and local shopping. The Cambridge Food Co-op leads a live cooking demonstration with tastings through the Fresh Eats program supported by CDPHP, featuring a dish made from market produce and pantry staples, with samples served. The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company energizes the market with a special performance. The POP Club season kicks off with mini fruit and yogurt sundaes, including gluten-free and plant-based options, and children can collect a first POP Passport stamp plus $4 in POP Club coins thanks to the Christopher Dailey Foundation. The Saratoga Springs Public Library hosts an inclusive craft for kids, while the Adirondack Literacy Council gives away free children’s books. Vendors offer fresh strawberries, seasonal vegetables, pasture-raised beef, lamb, and chicken, along with baked goods, flowers, honey, and more. Ready-to-eat choices include smash burgers, Mediterranean favorites, BBQ chicken, and fried chicken. Best Buddies International shares information about its programs, and Master Gardeners from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Saratoga County are on hand to answer gardening questions. Activities take place under the pavilions at High Rock Park, so the event goes on rain or shine.
