Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winning artist Rhiannon Giddens launches Biscuits & Banjos presents: Rhiannon Giddens' Beloved Community. Created to celebrate and explore Black music, art, and culture in her home state of North Carolina, the event at DPAC features performances by Rhiannon Giddens, Mavis Staples, Blind Boys of Alabama, Rissi Palmer, and Toshi Reagon. Giddens chose Durham as the home for Biscuits & Banjos because of her deep ties to the city and its vibrant contemporary culture rooted in a rich Black heritage. The program reflects the mission to uplift and honor Black culture through powerful artistry and community spirit.
