An in-person, experiential circle focused on cultivating intuition in a relaxed, low pressure, and supportive setting. It welcomes all levels of experience, from first-time explorers to those with an established intuitive or spiritual practice, and places emphasis on practice, curiosity, and self-trust rather than getting it right. Gatherings may include guided meditations to help participants settle and receive, individual, partner, and group exercises that strengthen intuitive awareness, and exploration of tools such as the clair senses, remote viewing, symbology, energetic hygiene and boundaries, spirit guides, and intuitive art or other creative practices. There is time for reflection, conversation, and integration, and topics can evolve based on the interests and experience of the group. Many participants find greater confidence in their inner knowing, clearer energetic and emotional boundaries, improved discernment between intuition and imagination or external influence, and a deeper sense of grounding and presence. The circle aims to provide meaningful practice in a safe, nonperformative space, reduce pressure to have answers, and encourage thoughtful, responsible connection with others who are exploring intuition. Core values include grounding and healthy boundaries, curiosity in place of certainty, and empowerment rather than dependency.

Stella Hansen brings a free, all-ages patio performance to The Grey Eagle. As a young adult she gravitated to local two step dance halls, and that renewed her passion. Her debut EP, Going to Portland, is out now. Written when she was 18, it captures the emotions of leaving home for the first time and presents the songs in the order they were written so listeners can move through grief, loneliness, and closure with her. Spanning a year of writing yet distilled into 20 minutes, it offers an intimate snapshot of early self-discovery. Patio seating is limited and available first come, first served.

Mercy Fund Animal Rescue is holding an adoption event featuring a range of affectionate animals hoping to find their permanent families. The gathering spotlights the rescue’s all-volunteer, foster-based approach, where pets live with foster caregivers until they are ready for adoption, and those who cannot be placed receive lifelong support through a permanent foster program. Established in 2006 by Joy Harklerode, a longtime Marion resident in McDowell County, this small rural organization focuses on saving animals in need, placing displaced pets in safe and loving homes, and helping local owners keep their companions. Its mission is rooted in compassion... to ensure animals are fed, sheltered, warmed, treated, and given a chance to be rescued, one pet at a time.

The Double CrownLiquid Bloom evening concert + early Breathwork ceremony @ Third Room
At Third Room, an immersive program pairs an early breathwork and cacao ceremony with a later downtempo and ambient concert by Liquid Bloom. The ceremonial portion takes place in a dedicated space with cacao shared by Madre Tierra Cacao, breathwork guided by Jade Lyons of Sacred Breath Alchemy, and live music from Liquid Bloom for a journey anchored in sound, breath, and presence. Guests attending the ceremony are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or another comfortable surface to lie on, a blanket and pillow if desired, comfortable layered clothing, and an optional eye mask. Arriving relaxed and open supports a deeper connection with personal intention and the collective space. Tickets are offered in tiers from $30 to $90. Liquid Bloom, created by producer Amani Friend of Desert Dwellers and the Desert Trax label, centers on immersive sound experiences that bridge ancestral musical traditions with contemporary production. The project blends global instrumentation, soaring vocals, and sacred motifs with modern electronics, and has collaborated with artists such as Poranguí, Janax Pacha, Bloomurian, Mose, Deya Dova, Ixchel Prisma, and Savej. Performances and releases flow from serene ambient textures to unhurried downtempo grooves and into high-energy dance moments, supporting contexts that include breathwork, cacao rituals, ecstatic dance, and therapeutic settings. The music has also carried spoken-word messages from voices including Paul Stamets, Dr. Joe Dispenza, and Ram Dass, while Desert Trax has fostered a global community around these sounds. At its core, Liquid Bloom creates welcoming sonic spaces where listeners can attune to body and emotion together, treating music as ritual, medicine, and celebration.

Third Room hosts a night of reggae as Black Uhuru performs with local support from Strong Fire. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 the day of show, and a VIP booth for four is available for $150. Black Uhuru, the long-running Jamaican group founded in Kingston’s Waterhouse neighborhood by Derrick “Duckie” Simpson, has shaped reggae for more than five decades. The band earned the first Grammy ever awarded for reggae with the album Anthem, worked closely with Sly and Robbie during a defining period, and released standout records including Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner and Chill Out, with Red later ranked number 23 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 greatest albums of the 1980s. Shifting lineups through the years featured voices like Michael Rose, Puma Jones, and Junior Reid, yielding favorites such as Dreadlocks on the Mountain, Fit You Haffi Fit, and the video Great Train Robbery. The 1990s brought a reunion, multiple Grammy-nominated albums, and an award-winning video, followed by extensive international touring. Recent highlights include the studio releases As The World Turns and New Day, a Tiny Desk Concert appearance, and continued headline shows at festivals and venues worldwide.
Third RoomHudson Freeman + lots of hands w/ Torri Weidinger at The Grey Eagle
The Grey Eagle hosts an all-ages, standing room only night featuring Hudson Freeman, lots of hands, and Torri Weidinger. Brooklyn-based lo-fi folk songwriter Hudson Freeman draws on DIY Midwestern roots, early influences like Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver, and formative years that included a move from the Dallas suburbs to Eswatini and time in Springfield, Missouri. A recent full-length release highlighted his reflective writing on identity, digital distance, and faith, and the single “If You Know Me” has been gaining wider attention with a moody blend of bedroom pop, folk, slowcore, and post-emo built around a memorable guitar figure and mantra-like lines. Lots of hands, the duo of Billy Woodhouse and Elliot Dryden, brings a catalog that includes into a pretty room, their Fire Talk Records debut that pieces together reshaped demos, freewheeling session cuts, and instrumental electronics to explore grief, loss, growing up, and letting go. The pair first met through a Newcastle school music program and developed their collaborative sound through regular writing and recording in a bedroom studio. Torri Weidinger rounds out the bill.
