AC LoungePoetry Workshop with Molly Damm
Explore how memory and the places we live shape our connections to self and others in a free workshop with poet and educator Molly Damm. Offered in two parts, the experience uses guided prompts, short readings, and generative exercises to help you recall meaningful locations and moments, then transform those recollections into writing through vivid sensory detail and imagery. Each session provides focused time to write, optional opportunities to share, and encouraging discussion in a welcoming, creative environment. No prior poetry or creative writing experience is required, and everyone is invited to participate. Molly Damm is a writer, teacher, and mental health therapist. She is the author of Ground-truth, published by Finishing Line Press in 2018, and her poems have appeared in Colorado Review, Western Humanities Review, Thayer, and other publications. She holds a Masters in Counseling from Montana State University and an MFA in Poetry from the University of Virginia, where she was a Hoyns Fellow in Creative Writing. She is the co-creator of the Heart and Ground writing and visual art retreat at the JBarL ranch in the Centennial Valley and lives in Livingston, Montana with her family.
