Mindful Mondays in Tower Grove Park

Ease into the week with an outdoor yoga session in Tower Grove Park. Mindful Mondays offers a weekly practice that invites you to slow your pace, reconnect with yourself, and reset in fresh air. Each class blends gentle movement and mindful breathing, guided by a new intention or theme to ground the week ahead. All experience levels are welcome, and the setting is relaxed so you can come as you are. Please bring a yoga mat or blanket, water, and comfortable clothing. As this is an outdoor class, if the weather is uncertain, updates will be posted and sent by email on the day of class.

April Featured Artist - Pamela Yelton

Featuring Pamela Yelton, this showcase centers on hand painted stones born from a desire for connection. She began during 2020 after watching mandala rock painting videos, choosing 3 to 4 inch black river rocks and dotting tools, and gifting friends designs in their favorite colors with personal messages written on the underside. In her work, the mandala, a Sanskrit word for circle or center, reflects the universe in Hindu and Buddhist traditions and symbolizes unity and wholeness. It also serves as a tool for meditation, focus, and mindful attention. Yelton mixes and thins her paints, places a central dot with the worn eraser end of a mechanical pencil since larger tools did not suit her, then adds smaller dots at the cardinal points and between them so the pattern grows on its own. This year she selected stones of varied colors and sizes from Chesterfield Valley Nursery and adapts each design to the rock’s unique markings. What began as purely mandala designs now includes flowers, rainbows, and asymmetrical patterns. She gives every piece a name, written on the underside. These pet rocks are created to calm, comfort, and ground, encouraging presence in the moment. The artist hopes they will find lasting homes.
