Taco John'sMN Adult & Teen Challenge Gala
The Mn Adult & Teen Challenge gala, now in its 19th year, offers an evening at Maddens Resort in Brainerd focused on hope, healing, and freedom from addiction. Guests hear moving stories of change, enjoy inspirational music from the client choir, and see how a caring community creates a safe path into recovery. The program highlights the impact of ongoing support and the courageous steps people take on the road to healing.
Maddens ResortPig Races and Meat Raffle Mondays
A weekly tradition at Ponchos & Lefty’s features pig races on the big screen followed by a meat raffle. Attendees may back a favorite pig or a mystery racer while pull tabs add to the excitement, and as ticket sales grow, additional races are added. Prizes range from $50 to $300 or more, and the event supports BAHA Hockey. Tacos, margaritas, and mayhem set the tone.
Poncho & Lefty'sBooks Burgers and Brews: The List of Suspicious Things
Chapter 10 of Books Burgers & Brews brings readers together at Brainerd Eagles - Aerie 287 for a public book club presented by the Friends of the Brainerd Public Library in partnership with the Eagles Club of Brainerd. This session highlights The List of Suspicious Things by Jennie Godfrey, with conversation focused on the book. Food and beverages can be purchased at the venue. RSVP is required at least seven days in advance. Books are provided, and print copies may be available to borrow at the front desk of the Brainerd Public Library after March’s event. The gathering is designed to offer a friendly place to connect with friends and enjoy an engaging discussion.
