Calimichigaña Wine Tasting Cruise

Cruise the waters of Grand Traverse Bay for the inaugural Calimichigaña, a coastal wine tasting that spans the Pacific, Michigan, and the Mediterranean. Each guest enjoys a 3 ounce pour of all three selections: Belong Wine Company Chasing the Sunset Rosé (Cali), BOS Methode Agricole Sparkling (Michigan), and Alemany i Corrio Principia Mathematica (España). These wines will also be available to purchase by the glass.

Year of the River Speaker Series - June

Commemorate 85 years of conservation during the Year of the River with an installment of the Grand Traverse Conservation District speaker series. Professional presenters will explore the Boardman–Ottaway River, ongoing conservation initiatives, GTCD history, natural resources, and related topics. Expect an opportunity to gain knowledge, reflect, and strengthen your connection to the river and the landscapes that shape the community. The program is hosted at the Boardman River Nature Center. Registration is required and costs $5 per person. Intended for adults and teens.

Compost and Biochar as Soil Health Tools - GLIF Growing Together Series

This hands-on workshop in the GLIF Community Growing Together Series takes place at Great Lakes Incubator Farm and focuses on how building healthy soil supports farm resilience. The session also highlights how the host farm incorporates compost and biochar into its overall fertility strategy.
