Learn lifesaving skills in the Heartsaver CPR/AED class at Great Lakes Rescue. Training follows the 2025 American Heart Association curriculum and covers adult and infant CPR, AED use, how to respond to adult and infant choking, and recognizing and addressing overdoses with Narcan. Successful completion results in American Heart Association CPR certification. Advance registration is required, and the fee is $60 per student.

The guild meeting takes place at Hope Community Church. It opens with a brief business segment, continues with Show & Tell, then moves into the program. Jackie Gentner from Sew Unique by Jackie will demonstrate her technique for making a distinctive quilt pattern. Parking is available, and access does not require stairs. The meeting is held in the section of the building on the left when facing the church. If Niles schools are closed due to weather that day, the meeting will be canceled.
MAKER DAYS - LMC Fab Lab - Open Lab & Tours, Work on Projects!
Stop in to get your questions answered and discover what the lab offers the community. You can drop in anytime for a tour of the Fab Lab and see what its all about. Depending on the number of people in the lab, assistance may be available that day. If not, an appointment can be scheduled to complete your project, learn about the equipment, and find out the appropriate cost. Tickets are encouraged but not required, and priority access will be given to those with tickets. The Fab Lab at Lake Michigan College is an open-access digital fabrication studio and collaborative workshop, providing access to information, tools, software, and space for anyone interested in learning and creating. Open access to design software, laser cutters, 3D printers, vinyl cutters, a woodshop, sewing machines, a CNC router, and hand tools is available.
