Theater: 4a.m. Friends

4 a.m. Friends is a play by Charlene A. Donaghy, directed by Rikki Lacewell, presented in a six-night run at Sky Stage. Drawing on Marlene Dietrich’s idea about the friends you can count on in the middle of the night, the story follows Becca, Tammy, and Kim, lifelong companions whose bond is marked by humor and genuine care. Produced by Endangered Species Theatre Project-Frederick, admission is pay-what-you-can at the gate, with the option to reserve seats online. Beer and wine will be available with ID, along with light concessions, and proceeds support FAC and Sky Stage.

Instrument Petting Zoo

Drawing inspiration from Musical Storytime, this hands-on session gives children a chance to explore a wide range of instruments from across the globe and make music in their own way. Designed for ages birth through elementary, it offers playful, up-close discovery of sounds and rhythms. Presented at C Burr.Artz Central Library.

Kindness Card Making Party - April

Help craft uplifting, handwritten cards for local children at a creative Kindness Card Making Party hosted by Blessings in a Backpack Frederick Chapter. The gathering takes place in the Programming Room at Urbana Regional Library, part of Frederick County Public Libraries. Volunteers of all ages are welcome to write positive notes that will be included in weekend food bags for students, offering encouragement and care. All supplies are provided, and participants may bring additional creative materials if they wish. Meet Blessings staff, volunteers, and supporters while you create. All experience levels are welcome, and you can drop in briefly or stay for the full session. Registration is available, and walk-ins are welcome. Youth Mission Spaghetti Dinner

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser offers a hearty meal while supporting the Calvary Youth summer mission trip. Proceeds from each plate help the youth serve with skilled adult leaders at Henderson Settlement in Frakes, Kentucky, and support a Volunteers in Mission team returning to northwestern North Carolina to repair homes affected by Hurricane Helene. During the dinner, information will be available in the fellowship hall about the destinations, the work being done, and how to become involved. Catoctones Rehearsal

The Catoctones, a men's barbershop chorus, gather for rehearsal at Church of the Brethren LRNG. Their music spans early barbershop classics, mid century favorites made famous by the Ink Spots, the Mills Brothers, and Frank Sinatra, and more contemporary selections by the Eagles, Billy Joel, and Plain White Ts. Use Entrance G, enter from the parking lot side through the ground floor doors in the circle, and look for a sign next to the door.

Greet Greg the Gardener at the Pry House

Meet the caretaker of the Pry House Field Hospital’s 19th-century medicinal herb garden, volunteer and retired critical care pharmacist Greg Susla. Visitors can watch him tend the beds, ask questions about future plantings, and learn how these herbs connect to Civil War medical care. The garden includes more than 35 varieties that reflect plants cultivated in the Mid-Atlantic during the period, the result of years of careful planting, stewardship, and expansion at Antietam National Battlefield.

Play & Learn

Bear Cubs is a recurring program at Dancing Bear Toys and Games for young children. Each week brings new experiences, including storytelling, interactive songs, and other activities. Frederick Keys Stadium Grand Opening

The grand opening of Frederick Keys Stadium at Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium showcases a $39 million transformation of the hometown ballpark. A live broadcast from 99.9 WFRE, presented with support from Smock Heating & Air, will accompany the official unveiling as attendees explore the refreshed venue. Upgrades include new clubhouses and dugouts, modern batting cages and bullpens, an expanded concourse with improved concessions, additional seating designed for a better fan experience, new LED lighting, and comprehensive safety enhancements. Guests can walk the stadium, see the updates up close, and share in a significant milestone for Frederick baseball.

Star Wars Unlimited Weekly Tournament

This weekly Star Wars Unlimited event at Tournament City Games features competitive play in a best of three format. Entry includes a Jump to Lightspeed promo pack, and additional Jump to Lightspeed packs are awarded to top finishers. Sustainability Movie Night: The Extraordinary Caterpillar

At New Spire Arts, a free screening of The Extraordinary Caterpillar offers an hour-long, beautifully filmed exploration of the crucial yet often overlooked roles caterpillars play within natural ecosystems. The documentary celebrates the wonder of nature and shares practical ideas families can use to make a positive difference, making it welcoming for environmental stewards of every age. The film highlights the work of The Caterpillar Lab, entomologist David Wagner, and Doug Tallamy, co-founder of Homegrown National Park. The screening includes snacks and drinks, stories that illuminate why caterpillars matter, straightforward guidance for creating native habitat at home, and information on actions that support healthy caterpillar populations. Presented in collaboration with Sustainable Frederick, Wild Ones of Greater Frederick County, and Friends of Worman's Mill Park.

Lorcana League Play

Lorcana League Play puts added focus on a running leaderboard where players earn points for participation and match results. New attendees receive 1 point the first time they come, bringing a new player adds 1 point, losing a round grants 1 point, and winning a round is worth 3 points. After a three month stretch that wraps up following the scheduled Set Championship Tournament and coincides with the release of Fabled, the top eight on the leaderboard share 200 dollars in store credit. The distribution awards 80 to first, 40 to second, 20 each to third and fourth, and 10 each to fifth through eighth. League nights use Swiss rounds based on attendance. Entry is 10 dollars and includes one pack, and 10 dollars in store credit from each participant goes into the prize pool. On a four round night, first place takes 40 percent of the pool and a Strength of a raging fire promo, second place takes 30 percent and a Cursed Merfolk promo, and third and fourth each take 15 percent and a Sisu promo. If five rounds are played, the pool is split as 25 percent for first, 20 percent for second, 15 percent each for third and fourth, and 6.25 percent each for fifth through eighth.

The 2026 Frederick Speaker Series: Walter Mosley

Author and social commentator Walter Mosley shares insights from a career that spans more than sixty books across mystery, science fiction, young adult, nonfiction, graphic storytelling, and erotica. Widely known for the Easy Rawlins detective novels, including Devil in a Blue Dress, he also returns to that character in Gray Dawn. His storytelling extends to the screen as an executive producer and writer on FX’s Snowfall and on The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey for Apple TV+. His novel The Man in My Basement is being adapted as a Hulu thriller featuring Willem Dafoe and Corey Hawkins. His essays and commentary have appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Playboy, and he received a Grammy for liner notes to a Richard Pryor collection. Onstage, Mosley addresses race, justice, and American life with a perspective shaped by his Los Angeles upbringing and his Black and Jewish heritage. He also founded the Publishing Certificate Program at CUNY to expand access to publishing careers for underrepresented communities. This event is part of the Frederick Speaker Series, a long-running program known for bringing notable voices to the Frederick area and encouraging thoughtful conversation that draws audiences from D.C., Baltimore, and beyond. A separate Meet & Greet is available for an additional $75, offering opportunities for a photo, a signing when possible, and light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. This add-on does not serve as admission to the talk. Proceeds from Meet & Greet events support children’s programming at Frederick County Public Libraries.

A weekly Thursday walk at Carroll Creek Park focuses on social connection, mindfulness, and personal well-being. The group sets out in front of the Wine Kitchen on the Creek and follows an easy, flexible route. Walkers can choose about 1 mile in roughly 25 minutes, 2 miles in about 50 minutes, or continue for a longer distance. The approach welcomes seasoned dancers, complete beginners, and anyone easing back after injury, meeting each participant at their current ability. Expect guidance that encourages you to tune into how your body feels, let go of prior assumptions, and dive into movement exploration aimed at developing seamless, natural quality. Pricing options include $125 for the full series or $30 for individual classes. It is not yet known when this series will run again.

Swing Dance

Enjoy a night of swing dancing beneath the open sky at Sky Stage in downtown Frederick, hosted by Revolution Modern Dance. The evening starts with a beginner-friendly lesson led by Amanda that covers swing and blues fundamentals, then transitions into social dancing. Music features moderate tempo jazz, blues, and soul suited for lindy hop, West Coast swing, and blues dancers, with selections mindful of warm weather and a concrete dance surface. A suggested donation of $5 to $10 is taken at entry. No pre-registration is needed and there are no tickets. Donations help pay instructors and DJs, with the remainder supporting Sky Stage’s arts and music programming.

Pop Up on Penn

A community pop-up marketplace highlights local talent by giving artisans, business owners, and nonprofits from the 21793 area and nearby communities a platform to showcase their work. Organized by the Walkersville Economic Development Commission, it coincides with the opening day of the Walkersville Southern Railroad, creating added buzz and visibility for participants and visitors. Vendor applications are available, and a submission deadline applies.

Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony

At The Common Market Co-op, explore the art of the Ethiopian coffee ceremony, a time-honored practice rooted in welcome, aroma, and community connection. Attendees will learn about coffee’s beginnings in Ethiopia while watching the journey from raw green beans to the final pour, taking in the sounds of roasting and the fragrance of freshly brewed coffee. The experience emphasizes slowing down and sharing, inviting mindful attention through sight, sound, and scent. A guided tasting of Ethiopian coffee is included, offering a direct encounter with its flavors and traditions. The ceremony is led by Elsa, an Ethiopian-born host and cultural educator based in Maryland, who shares lived knowledge through ritual, storytelling, and sensory exploration. She has presented this ceremony at cafés, community venues, festivals, and private gatherings across Maryland since 2024, including an ongoing quarterly collaboration with Dublin Roasters Coffee. Participants can expect to leave with a deeper appreciation for coffee’s cultural roots and the communal spirit at the heart of this ritual.

Festival Run

Frederick Fairgrounds becomes the hub of a citywide running celebration as the Frederick Running Festival returns. Participants can choose a half marathon, a two person relay, the Twilight 5K, or a Kids Fun Run. Courses showcase scenic, historic Frederick and finish at the fairgrounds, where the Celebration Village features live music, local beer, and post race fun. The Nut Job Challenge rewards those who complete both the 5K and the half marathon with extra medals and bragging rights. WFRE will broadcast live from the action with Dianah Gibson, with support from Corrigan Sports and sponsor WLR.

SAFE SITTER BABYSITTING 1 DAY - Frederick, MD 2026

This class prepares students to be safe when theyre home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The instructor-led class includes games and role-playing exercises. Students will use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR. Course materials are included, and students receive a certificate after passing the course. A welcome email with full details will be sent out prior to the start of the program.

Pokémon League Standard Format

Players can compete in a Standard Format event with age-based divisions and a prize-focused structure. Entry is $10 for the Masters Division for ages 17 and up, $5 for Juniors ages 13 to 16, and $5 for Seniors ages 12 or younger. Each entry includes a prize pack. Depending on attendance, the event runs three to five rounds, and prizes are awarded to the top players in each age division. All entry fees go into the prize pool as store credit.

At Orioles Nest 331, WADAfier #4 offers a friendly darts competition where players can enjoy matches while working toward a paid pre-registration for the Washington Area Open. Each match features four legs in this sequence: 501, Cricket, Cricket, 501. Entry is $10 per event, or $40 for a bundle of four events. Participation in four events is required to be eligible for the paid pre-registration, and attending every installment is not necessary. Mini Raffle and Steak Dinner

Sinners & Saints: The Hidden Affair

A clandestine speakeasy fundraiser sets the scene in Downtown Frederick, Maryland, with the exact venue kept under wraps until 72 hours before the doors open. Entry is password protected, and upon arrival every guest is placed on a team as either a Saint or a Sinner. Throughout the night, the experience unfolds as a live, interactive competition where purchases, donations, and shared moments fuel the rivalry between the two sides. Expect a cinematic welcome with a red carpet photo moment, live music and dancing featuring The 19th Street Band, generous bites, and two drink tickets that can be used toward a selection of specialty cocktails. Paparazzi style photography, a confessional booth for bold confessions, a silent auction, and a live scoreboard keep the excitement building, with surprise appearances along the way. Dress is encouraged but optional, with light, ethereal, elegant looks for Saints and dark, bold, indulgent styles for Sinners. Babysitter Class

Designed for ages 12 and up, this 8 hour class builds confident, professional babysitters. Participants explore how to launch and manage a babysitting business, from simple advertising and clear boundaries to talking about pay and personal comfort levels. They also learn key child care skills so they know what to expect on the job. Safety training is a major focus. Students complete standard first aid with a two year certification, including how to control bleeding, clean and dress wounds, respond to injuries, and address common medical problems. Everyone assembles a first aid kit to keep that is well suited for babysitting. Hands-on practice covers adult, child, and infant CPR, use of an AED, and how to help a choking person of any age. Practice mannikins provide instant feedback, and a two year CPR/AED certification is awarded. Those who finish earn certifications in Babysitting, First Aid, and Adult/Child/Infant CPR. Each student also takes home a babysitting textbook, a combined CPR/AED/First Aid book, a first aid kit, and additional resources to support a growing babysitting business.

Pollinators Love Herbs

Explore how everyday herbs help sustain endangered pollinators. Learn how plants like parsley and dill can host the caterpillar stage of certain butterflies, and how herb flowers provide nectar and pollen for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. Creek Cleanup Day of Service

John R. Webb VFW Post 3285 is hosting a community effort in Frederick as part of the national VFW Day of Service. Volunteers of all ages, including veterans, families, and students seeking service hours, will work together to clear litter and other hazards from the creek bed and nearby banks to support the local watershed and refresh a natural area. Basic supplies such as trash bags will be available. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, preferably waterproof boots, and clothing that can handle mud. Marvelous Mom's Day

Celebrate moms with an action filled aerial outing where mothers climb free. This three hour Timber Trek adventure includes access to all 16 Timber Trek trails. Every participant begins in ground school, then practices on beginner bunny slope routes to demonstrate safe use of equipment and understanding of course rules before moving on to the main platform. Gloves are encouraged but not required, and guests may bring full finger climbing gloves or purchase a pair if preferred. The experience is self guided and recommended for ages 8 and up. Children ages 4 to 7 must climb with a participating adult and will start on the purple trails. To use the Red Zipline trails, participants must be at least 4 feet tall. The weight range for climbers is 30 to 250 pounds. Everyone on the property, including spectators, must complete a waiver. Closed toe, closed heel shoes such as sneakers or boots are required, and crocs, sandals, or backless footwear are not permitted. Limit one ticket per order.

2026 GVAA Baseball Hit-A-Thon Fundraiser

MARYLANDS SUMMER LINE DANCING HOEDOWN

Set in Frederick, Maryland at Amvets Post #2 "The Farm", this large summer line dancing hoedown is hosted by FIBE DANCE. The indoor venue offers ample room for hundreds of dancers, and the big shop doors may be opened if weather allows. Expect a wide mix of music, from classic country throwbacks and modern country hits to pop and hip hop, with selections chosen for well-known dances. The floor accommodates many styles, including line, swing, two step, partner, and contra. All ages are welcome and all experience levels are included. Make a Hypertufa Bowl or Trough

Create a lightweight, stone-look bowl or trough for the garden with guidance from the Frederick County Master Gardeners. Hypertufa combines Portland cement with other materials to form a natural-looking container that stands up to the elements. Instructors will lead each step so participants can shape and finish a piece to take home. Wear clothing you do not mind getting messy. Materials cost is $15, payable at registration. Pre-registration is required and space is limited to 12 participants, with registration opening three weeks in advance. If plans change, please cancel so another person can attend. Maryland House and Garden Pilgrimage - Frederick County Tour

Explore Frederick County, Maryland through a tour of homes and gardens that follows the area’s story from its earliest Native communities to its role as a conduit for trade, culture, and conflict. Established in 1748, the county grew along the Old National Road, where stagecoaches and Conestoga wagons moved settlers and goods west and encouraged the development of towns such as Frederick, Middletown, and New Market. Attendees can visit historic properties that highlight agricultural prosperity, inventive industry, and the impact of the Civil War. The experience unfolds amid rolling farmland, mountain vistas, and lively main streets, showing how the past and present meet in one of Maryland’s most historic regions.

Sweet Summertime Kick Off

Warmer days have arrived, and this kickoff event celebrates the season with vendors set up inside and outside the boutique. Expect offerings like permanent jewelry and a hat bar, with more vendors to be announced as they are confirmed.

501 Tournament

A full slate of 501 darts competition takes place at Orioles Nest 331 with three events and a double elimination format. Entry is $10 per event. Matches in the winners bracket are best of three, while the losers bracket is single elimination. The lineup begins with doubles, continues with mixed trips, and finishes with singles for men and women. If at least 48 players enter singles, the field will be split into A and B brackets. If fewer than eight women participate, a separate women’s singles will not be offered. Payouts are 100 percent or more, with guaranteed payouts starting at a minimum of 30 shooters, or 15 teams for doubles, and other payouts adjusted based on turnout. The Western Maryland Dart Association will contribute to the singles prize pool. Participation is open to all skill levels and WMDA membership is not required. Players who did not compete in the WMDA Fall 2025 or Spring 2026 seasons will be asked to provide a DartConnect DPA, and those unable to do so will be placed in the A bracket. All events may be adjusted based on participation and time constraints.

This event celebrates the Fredrick Rescue Mission and welcomes the opening of a construction art exhibit.

The “V” 🔥 LIVE at “The Banyan”

Enjoy live music as The V takes the stage at The Banyan, delivering rock, pop, and metal hits from the 70s through the 2000s. Located in downtown Frederick, The Banyan is a new all-in-one gathering space inspired by Caribbean and Key West banyan trees, created for weddings, private events, business functions, and memorable live shows. Look forward to familiar favorites across four decades in a venue designed for connection and celebration.

2nd Annual W.F. Moran Artisan and Knife Show

At the Middletown Fire Company Activities Building, the second annual W.F. Moran Artisan and Knife Show honors Bill Moran’s enduring impact and his love for traditional handcrafts. Local artisans will display and sell work across disciplines such as wood carving, jewelry, basket making, pottery, leatherwork, metalwork, and knifemaking, with additional makers adding to the mix. Food will be available for purchase from the Firehall Auxiliary. Admission is free. Vendor tables are available for $35, with more information to be announced. This summer showcase expands the celebration of Moran’s creative legacy and creates a welcoming space to meet artists, discover one-of-a-kind pieces, and connect with the traditions he championed.

Super Hero Sunday

A superhero themed day features special offers during a three hour Timber Trek adventure. Fathers climb free on Father’s Day, with one ticket per order, and prizes are planned for the best dressed heroes. Guests who book in advance can save 20 percent on additional tickets with code SUPERDAD. The adventure includes access to all 16 Timber Trek trails. Participants begin in ground school, then move to the bunny slope trails to demonstrate proper equipment use and clear knowledge of the rules before continuing from the main platform. This is a self guided experience recommended for ages 8 and up. Children ages 4 to 7 must climb with an adult and will start on the purple trails. Participants need to be at least 4 feet tall to access the Red Zipline Trails. The permitted weight range is 30 to 250 pounds. Gloves are encouraged but not required. Guests may bring full finger climbing gloves or purchase a pair. A waiver is required for everyone on the property, including climbers and spectators. Closed toe and closed heel footwear such as sneakers or boots is required. Crocs, sandals, and backless shoes are not permitted.

Seasonal Market Basket Surprise

Discover seasonal cooking with a class built around what is being harvested at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm that day. In 1.75 hours, you will get to know up to six farm-fresh fruits, herbs, and vegetables, then turn them into three to four dishes that showcase each ingredient. Depending on the harvest, the menu may include salads, soups, pickled items, and other hot or cold preparations. The focus is on learning to approach ingredients the way a chef would, using the freshest market produce available.

The 42nd annual edition of the Walkersville Champions Basketball Camp will be held at Walkersville Middle School.

Mindful Kids Summer Camp - JUNE

Now in its fifth year, this camp weaves mindfulness practices, yoga, guided meditation, creative arts and crafts, nature walks, games, storytelling, and kindness projects that support the community into a warm, nonjudgmental setting where kids can be themselves while learning practical self-regulation skills. It is designed for ages 5 to 11, covering kindergarten through fifth grade, and is a good match for children who want tools for big emotions and high energy, hope to strengthen friendships and social skills, love hands-on creativity, and thrive with structure, movement, and mindfulness. Sessions are led by kids yoga instructors trained in trauma-informed approaches and nervous system regulation, with an emphasis on inclusivity and building skills that last. Choose a morning session with Kelly, an afternoon session with Bonnie, or a full-day option. Pricing is $275 per session for Monday through Friday and $500 for the full day Monday through Friday, with a $50 full-day discount code sent after the first registration and a sibling incentive that provides 10 percent back in credit. Registration is by session, and spots tend to fill quickly.

Community Shred Event

Reduce paperwork pileups while supporting the community at a free document shredding event. Attendees can dispose of outdated documents securely at no cost. Voluntary donations will be accepted for Fresh Step Laundry, which provides services for the local unhoused community. It is a straightforward way to protect sensitive information and lend support to neighbors.

Creator content day: Celebrating LGBTQ+ LOVE

A content-focused gathering for photographers and other creators centers on building portfolios that highlight genuine connection and LGBTQ+ love. The experience includes two styled photo sessions with rides to a standout location, plus a catered dinner with time for conversation and a sense of adventure. It brings together like minded artists for an evening of collaborative practice, and the organizer is also welcoming contributors to help shape the styled shoots, including florists, jewelry makers, painters, stylists, and other creatives.

Fresh Berries-Curds, Custards, and Creams

Spend 1.5 hours building pastry fundamentals by making curds, custards, and creams that pair with freshly harvested berries from Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm. The session focuses on creating smooth textures and balanced flavors, then combining them with whichever berries are at peak ripeness that day. The farm grows strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries, and availability changes with the harvest... early June often brings strawberries with blueberries, late June leans toward blueberries with raspberries, and July typically highlights blueberries with blackberries.

Walkersville Carnival - Mike Kuster and The Catoctin Cowboys 250th Independence Day Celebration

A milestone celebration of American independence comes to the Walkersville Carnival with Mike Kuster & The Catoctin Cowboys at Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company #11. The band delivers a high-energy set that blends modern country with classic country storytelling, echoing small-town pride and the spirit of freedom. The performance features original songs, tender ballads, and plenty of lively anthems that invite singalongs and dancing with friends. Enjoy carnival treats and a night of music under the summer sky as the community marks 250 years of independence, Walkersville style.

2nd annual SHHS Athletic Booster Golf Tournament

The South Hagerstown High School Athletic Boosters host their second annual golf tournament at Maryland National Golf Club. The event uses a foursome scramble with a shotgun start. Registration covers lunch, a cart, access to an unlimited beverage cart, a 4 play, 3 pay offer for each participant, and opportunities to win prizes, with the top foursome taking home an award. Proceeds benefit all athletic programs at South Hagerstown High School and support the annual scholarship. Registration will open soon. Businesses and alumni can show their support through sponsorship opportunities. The SHHS Athletic Boosters are a 509(a)(2) nonprofit that supports student athletes and coaches at South High and in the surrounding community.

Independence Day BBQ | Brooklyn Cyclones vs Frederick Keys @1pm

The Brooklyn Cyclones face the Frederick Keys with special holiday festivities alongside the game. Enjoy an Independence Day barbecue and the American250 celebration. A giveaway will be handed out for every 250 fans who enter, continuing until a total of 2,500 is reached.

9th Annual Crab Feast

An afternoon of food, drinks, and good company supports United Steam Fire Engine Co #3 at the 8th Annual Crab Feast. Enjoy unlimited crabs along with beer, wine coolers, and soda. The menu also features corn, fried chicken, hot dogs, hush puppies, Maryland crab soup, and an array of desserts. Fun extras include a 50/50 drawing, additional raffles, and pull tabs. The gathering takes place at the Middletown Fire Department activities building. Tickets will be available.

Pricing is $275 per session for a Monday through Friday schedule or $500 for the full-day Monday through Friday option. Registration is on a per-session basis, a $50 full-day discount code is provided after the first registration, and families with more than one child receive 10 percent back as credit. Enrollment often reaches capacity.

Bumblebees

Master Gardeners lead an educational session about bumblebees, highlighting their fuzzy, gentle nature and the vital role they play in pollinating many crops and flowers. The program explores why their numbers are declining, including habitat loss, unwise pesticide use, climate change, and disease, and offers practical steps you can take to help protect these important pollinators. MULLETMANIA 2 – Live and Let DYE! Mullet, Mustache & Beard Competition + AIR GUITAR SHOWDOWN

Steinhardt Brewing Company hosts a high-energy celebration of outrageous hair and silent shredding with the return of MULLETMANIA 2, pairing a mullet, mustache, and beard competition with an air guitar showdown in support of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and PetConnect Rescue. Head Rush Studio LLC and Nevermore Weddings and Events LLC present expanded contests for every look and age, including mullet divisions for Baby (3 and under), Junior (4 to 12), Adult (13 and up), a category for dogs, and an overall Best in Show. Mustache and beard entrants can choose Natural or Freestyle, with a Best in Show in each. The air guitar portion features Kids (under 13), Adults (13 and up), and a Best in Show spotlight. Competitor entry is $25 for one category, $45 for two, or $60 for all three hair contests. Air guitar entry is $15 for kids or adults, or $25 when paired with one hair category. A $5 spectator donation is suggested, with proceeds benefiting the two featured nonprofits. Expect over-the-top styles, family friendly vibes, spirited air guitar performances, cold craft beer, prizes and raffles, and plenty of laughs for a cause.
