Walk alongside goats and take time to connect with the outdoors, with others, and with yourself. Anyone leading a goat must be at least 6 years old, while younger children may come with a parent or guardian without buying their own ticket. Tickets are purchased per goat, so select the number of goats you want to walk rather than the number of people attending. Each ticket is $5, and upon arrival at the farm you will receive a $5 Creme Cash certificate that can be applied to an in-store purchase of $25 or more made the same day.

Motherhood Together: Baby Bonding, Community & Calm

A calm, 90-minute gathering designed for new mothers focuses on slowing down, bonding with baby, and building meaningful connections. Spend unhurried time with your little one while learning gentle infant massage techniques that can support sleep, strengthen attachment, and nurture growing bodies. The experience then shifts into a relaxed, supportive conversation with other moms who understand the early months, and concludes with simple mindfulness tools that are practical for long nights, hard days, and everything in between. This event is intended for mothers with babies between 4 weeks and 6 months old. The cost is $44 per participating mother. The gathering is facilitated by Smadar Garritson, a maternal mental health therapist with over 10 years of experience supporting new moms, lead clinician for the Maternal Wellness Program at Huntington Hospital, certified lactation educator, trained doula and hypnobirthing practitioner, and adjunct instructor at the Keck School of Medicine of USC, offering a warm and steady presence throughout.

Moon Keeper Gnome Glow-in-the-Dark Paint & Sip

Old Gold Whiskey Launch | Valparaiso University x Journeyman Distillery

A team of 20 College of Business students in the capstone marketing and entrepreneurship course taught by Clinical Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship Dushan Nikolovski, M.S., set out to craft a brand that reflects Valpo’s character and story, beginning with local businesses at the heart of the community. Partnering with Journeyman Distillery, a longtime Valparaiso presence, they created Old Gold. After months of market research, the students are unveiling Old Gold, the first whiskey to carry the Valparaiso University name. The official launch takes place at Journeyman Distillery in Valparaiso. Guests of all ages are welcome, Valpo students receive exclusive discounts, and raffles are part of the event.

Tall Cop: High in Plain Sight

This free program with Tall Cop, Jermaine Galloway, takes place at the Harre Union Ballroom at Valparaiso University and focuses on building awareness of local substance misuse risks and trends. "High in Plain Sight"

High in Plain Sight offers a no-cost professional training with Jermaine Galloway, known as Tall Cop. It is tailored for educators, social workers, first responders, and others who support youth, and centers on spotting current alcohol, vaping, and drug trends affecting young people while sharing practical strategies. Three sessions are scheduled to provide flexibility. A Positive Approach to Teen Health (PATH) will also present a session for parents.

SORCE 2026 is Valparaiso University’s annual university-wide Symposium on Research and Creative Expression, highlighting student scholarship and creativity developed throughout the year. Spring HypnoBirthing Series

This five week HypnoBirthing series helps expectant parents cultivate calm, confidence, and a sense of empowerment for birth. Participants learn practical skills to work with the body, ease discomfort, and release fear. Topics include effective breathing, relaxation and visualization, creating a birth plan that reflects personal preferences, comfort strategies for labor and birth, and clear ways partners can offer support. The course also explores how HypnoBirthing techniques may lessen fear, tension, and pain. Partners are welcome but not required, and class size is limited to keep the experience personal and interactive.

Scorpio Full Moon Sound Journey at PIeces of Jayde

Savor a sweet day in Downtown Valpo as you stroll from shop to shop collecting decadent chocolate treats from more than 30 local businesses, all while browsing, dining, and exploring at your own pace. This rain or shine favorite uses two starting waves to keep the experience moving smoothly, and participants choose their wave during checkout. Check in on the Courthouse Lawn before your selected start to pick up an official route map, a reusable tote, and a punch card lanyard. Then follow your map to each official stop to receive a chocolate treat and a punch, with time to enjoy the downtown along the way. Those who register at least seven days in advance receive a glow training sword to use during the session and take home, and everyone who completes the training earns a Jedi-themed certificate. This gathering is open to all ages, with space limited to 24 participants including buddies. Each attendee must register individually. Create a whimsical fairy door with guidance from local artist Traci Ores in a hands-on workshop inspired by Beltane. Participants will build their door using a mix of materials and techniques to achieve a weathered wood effect, working with heavy body medium and crackle paint, then layering inks, stains, and acrylics. Final details include natural and decorative accents such as dried flowers, moss, acorns, and metal embellishments. Traci brings over 20 years of teaching experience with learners from kindergarten through 12th grade as well as adults in community art settings. May Contra Dance

Enjoy contra dancing at Trinity Lutheran Church Valparaiso with caller Cheryl Joyal of Naperville and live music by the Hoosier Recruits. Every dance is taught, so newcomers are welcome and no partner is required. Masking is optional. Dancing takes place in the Fellowship Hall. 2026 Awful Terrible Horrible Bike Ride 🚴🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

Starting from Central Park Plaza, this friendly ride heads to the Overlook Shelter near Beverly Shores for the first restroom and water break with a quick photo opportunity. The route then continues to the Westville Dairy Queen before returning to Valpo. Riders can choose from approximately 31, 51, or 75 miles. Groups are expected to form by pace so participants can connect with others riding at a similar speed. Bring your own hydration and nutrition, especially if you plan to tackle the longer distances. Afterward, there is a casual meet up at Blockhead Beerworks to refuel. Look for Lilia upon arrival.

Adult Partners Pickleball Tournaments

Adults pair up for fast-paced pickleball action at Valplayso, competing in double elimination tournaments that reward teamwork and smart play. BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers

Strengthen essential lifesaving skills in this American Heart Association Basic Life Support course. Participants practice recognizing life threatening emergencies, delivering effective chest compressions for adults, children, and infants, giving ventilations with a barrier device, applying an AED as early as possible, working as a coordinated team in multi rescuer scenarios, and relieving choking in adults and infants. The content aligns with current AHA guidance for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This training is designed for prehospital and in-facility professionals, including EMTs, paramedics, firefighters, hospital staff, and those working in dental offices, nursing homes, and childcare. Upon successful completion, an AHA BLS completion card valid for two years will be sent by email. Please allow about two to three weeks for delivery. Check with your employer to ensure this is the appropriate course for your role.

The Big Cup Scramble

The Big Cup Scramble at Creekside Golf Course and Training Center features a two-player scramble with no handicaps and a shotgun start. Both players tee off, the team selects the better shot, and play continues from that spot until the hole is completed. Scoring is low gross, with awards for first, second, and third place teams. Entry includes green fees, cart, lunch, on-course games, prizes, and trophies. Tee assignments are set by age and gender: players under 14 and ladies use the red tees, ages 14 to 18 use the white tees, ages 19 to 59 use the blue tees, and ages 60 and older use the white tees. On-course challenges include Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, and Longest Putt. Participants may pay for themselves or for a twosome.

Outdoor Adult Training: Fire, Cooking, and Rustic

This is a blended learning course, so the online components of Outdoor Cooking and Rustic Camping must be completed before attending. This session offers practical experience to complement the online course, focusing on hands-on learning. You will learn about edible fires and firewood, including how to teach about them, and how to start fires for stick cooking. Youll also get tips for engaging campers and improving their outdoor skills, as well as how to set up and use camp stoves. ERAS performs rock hits from the 1970s through today at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2517 in Valparaiso. The event is open to the public with no cover charge. Just for Jessica Benefit Car Show

A community car show at the Porter County Expo Center raises funds for Jessica Halliar, a para-professional at Ben Franklin Middle School who was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 melanoma. She is deeply connected to her students and community, values her faith and family, and has a passion for cars. All proceeds will go directly to Jessica to help with medical expenses. Vehicle registration is $20, general admission is $5, and children under 12 are free. Trophies will be awarded for Jessica’s Choice, People’s Choice, and Best in Show, along with Top 50 Bikes and Top 50 Cars and Trucks. Food vendors and refreshments will be available, with additional offerings on site.

Heartsaver CPR Certification

Learn to act with confidence in emergencies through the American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course. Built on the latest CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care guidance, this training covers first aid fundamentals, how to handle medical, injury, and environmental emergencies, ways to prevent illness and injury, adult CPR, AED operation, and how to respond to opioid-related life-threatening situations. Optional modules are available for child CPR with AED and for infant CPR. The course is intended for people with little or no medical background who need a completion card for work or regulatory needs such as OSHA, as well as anyone who wants to be prepared to help. Common participants include good Samaritans, lifeguards, babysitters, and staff at businesses or restaurants with AEDs on site. Those who successfully finish the class receive a course completion card that remains valid for two years.

11th Annual Colin's Chance to Conquer Memorial Ride & After Party
