3D Printing Lab: Clean Water Challenge

Explore technology, science, and engineering in a hands-on 3D printing camp centered on a clean water challenge. Participants learn how 3D printers work and use easy-to-learn CAD tools to design custom parts and functional prototypes. In small teams, campers create, build, and test a 3D-printed water filtration system, trying different filter materials, measuring clarity and flow, and improving their designs with each round of testing. Along the way they strengthen critical thinking, collaboration, and communication as they analyze results and present their final designs. Creativity, problem solving, and learning through trial and improvement are at the core of this experience. Designed for ages 11 to 14 at the Martens Center. Free, with registration required.
