Texas Two Step basics course
Adults can learn the basics of the Texas Two Step in this introductory course, and additional nightclub dance classes for adults are slated to start soon. The class focuses on fundamental steps suitable for beginners.

Group miles meet craft beer at Lil Beaver Brewery. Choose a comfortable pace and go 1 to 4 miles on a run or walk, then wind down with one to four local craft beers or a nonalcoholic option. All paces and ability levels are welcome. There is no fee and no preregistration required. Check in on arrival to sign a waiver before heading out. In the winter, bring lights and reflective gear for visibility. It alternates monthly between Lil Beaver and Keg Grove.

Bruce Moon & The Amplifiers deliver a live outdoor performance at Uptown Circle in Uptown Normal. This free, all-ages show welcomes attendees to bring a blanket or lawn chair, and arriving early leaves time to browse nearby shops or grab a bite. Led by Bruce L. Moon, a singer songwriter, painter, and performance artist, the group draws on a deep catalog that includes 35 solo albums available on major streaming services and more than 350 YouTube videos. The lineup features Justin Tirone on lead guitar, violin, and keyboards, Brian Rejack on bass and trombone, and Ben Wyman on percussion. The set centers on original material. Moon holds that music should comfort those facing hardship and challenge those who are too comfortable, and audience feedback notes that his songs and stories can spark laughter, tears, and reflection.

Back on the Smash House Tavern patio, Carl Bopp and Ed Smith of Sound Decision deliver a feel-good set of classic favorites with smooth vocal blends. The patio features cold drinks, tasty bites, and live music with no cover. Expect a relaxed evening of tunes and conversation in an easygoing setting.
