Summer Series Race #12

Part of the Blanchard Woods BMX Summer Series, this race contributes to a season-long challenge where riders work toward a custom jersey by completing ten races. Entry is $10, and the jersey is awarded after ten series appearances. Practice and registration are held before racing begins, with separate practice windows for pedal bikes and balance bikes. Riders must wear long sleeves, long pants, closed-toe shoes, and a full-face helmet. An active USABMX license is required, and new riders can use a free one-day trial membership. Catie's Gathering Augusta

Catie’s Gathering is a benefit dinner supporting Catie’s Fund at CURE Childhood Cancer. Guests can expect creatively themed table designs, both silent and live auctions, and a heartfelt program. What began as a single gathering has grown into seven events across the Southeast, raising more than $5 million to date. Proceeds help drive CURE’s research, with a priority on the Precision Medicine Program that tailors treatments to each child’s genetics, and they also provide support for patients and families facing childhood cancer. This edition will be held at the Columbia County Exhibition Center.

Cars | FREE Showing | Queensborough National Bank and Trust presents Movies at the Miller

Enjoy a free big-screen showing of Cars as part of Movies at the Miller, presented by Queensborough National Bank and Trust. Tickets are complimentary and should be reserved in advance. Seating is general admission and available on a first come, first served basis. The Miller Theater, opened in 1940 in downtown Augusta, has long been a beloved destination for film and community moments. In 2022, with support from Queensborough National Bank and Trust, the theater launched Movies at the Miller to honor its history and thank the community that helped reopen its doors. This screening continues that tradition of shared experiences at the movies.

Enjoy time at an indoor play cafe featuring a full-service coffee bar serving favorite drinks and treats. Book a play pass so your child or children can explore the indoor play space while caregivers relax just steps away. This drop-in pass provides two hours of full access to the play area. Garden City Sports Card & Collectible Expo

Sports card enthusiasts, Pokémon and TCG fans, comic readers, and collectors of toys and hobby items can explore a broad marketplace at the Columbia County Exhibition Center. This show features sports cards and memorabilia alongside trading card games, comics, and a wide range of collectibles. Vendor tables are available in 8-foot sizes, priced at $85 for floor placement or $100 for wall or end cap spots, and each includes a tablecloth. Vendors are provided breakfast and lunch, security is on site, and load-in and load-out are designed to be easy. Promoted as one of the area’s larger collector gatherings, table availability is limited.

Misfit Asylum and Murder House Live present their official summer production at Back To Nature Garden Center, delivering a completely live Rocky Horror tribute with a playful luau twist. Expect island vibes and the spirited tradition of audience callbacks, with a reminder to keep interactions respectful. A costume contest will be held before the performance, and fishnets are welcome but not required. This outdoor show encourages comfortable costume choices. For safety, children 4 and under participate in non-swimming activities.

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia hosts the annual S’morevivor Team Challenge at Girl Scout Camp Tanglewood, transforming the camp into an open house with hands-on activities and a spirited competition. Teams of four move from station to station to try outdoor skills such as canoeing, archery, and the low ropes course, blending problem solving with physical challenges. Entry is $125 per team and includes an exclusive S’morevivor buff for every participant. S’morevivor is open to the entire CSRA, welcoming businesses, families, military personnel, troops, and friend groups to build camaraderie in a fun, challenging, and competitive setting. Three divisions, corporate, community, and Girl Scout troop, recognize top performers with prizes and trophies. The first place corporate team also earns a large trophy engraved with the winning business name to display for a year. Funds raised support programming for girls in Georgia from Kindergarten through 12th grade through the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, including badge work, career exploration, hands-on activities, community service, entrepreneurship, outdoor adventures, life skills training, and STEM. An Evening in Support of Columbia County Schools - Presented by JE Dunn Construction

Presented by JE Dunn Construction, this debut signature gathering for the Columbia County School District Foundation takes place at the Columbia County Exhibition Center and directs all proceeds to students, teachers, and staff across the district. The evening begins with a cocktail reception followed by dinner, then moves into a program featuring keynote remarks from Dr. Russell Keen, President of Augusta University. Community awards and a silent auction round out the event, all in support of Columbia County schools.
