South Florida Premiere of “The Color Purple”
Brévo Theatre presents the South Florida premiere of The Color Purple at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. Guided by director Bryan Keyth Wilson with choreography by TM Pride, the musical follows Celie over four decades of survival, self-discovery, and empowerment. The score blends jazz, ragtime, gospel, blues, and African influences in a celebration of hope, love, and community. Tickets are $55 for general admission and $70 for VIP, which includes a free drink, cabaret table seating, and a free mason jar. Select performances include special experiences such as Brunch & Blues at Harpo’s presented with Just Spoons Café and Celie’s Sunday Spread as a post-show dinner celebration.

Beach Night
Beach Night welcomes the First Pres community to the southern end of Fort Lauderdale Beach by the volleyball courts for a relaxed evening on the sand. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be provided. Attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish or dessert to share, along with a beach chair and a friend. The gathering offers an easy way to connect, unwind, and enjoy the shoreline. All church members are welcome.
