Yoga on the Porch offers a relaxed practice with no reservations needed. It welcomes participants of every experience level, from newcomers to longtime practitioners. Attendance is supported by donations.

Firefly Self Guided Hike

Oakland Nature Preserve offers select evenings for visitors to wander the boardwalk and search for fireflies. A staff member will be stationed at the start of the boardwalk to answer questions. Parking is available in the grass overflow lot, and when the main lot is full, vehicles should park perpendicular along the driveway outside the gate. The adjacent school or church lot that shares the driveway is not available for guests, and vehicles parked there can be locked in. Admission is free, and donations are appreciated to support preserve upkeep and programming. As a courtesy to others, please avoid using flashlights, phone lights, or flash photography, and plan for mosquitoes. Do not touch, collect, or otherwise disturb fireflies or any wildlife. Bug spray is not permitted because it can kill mosquitoes and delicate fireflies. Pets are not allowed, and smoking is prohibited anywhere on the boardwalk or preserve due to dry, hot conditions and fire risk. Volunteers wearing high-visibility vests and name tags will be along the boardwalk, and any rule violations should be reported so issues can be addressed for everyone’s safety and comfort. If the weather turns, the event may be canceled, and day-of updates can be found on the preserve’s Facebook page.

2026 SCSD Golf Tournament

A charitable golf tournament organized by Southern Cross Service Dogs supports the placement of service dogs with veterans in need. Participants spend a day on the course while contributing to a mission that strengthens independence and quality of life for those who have served.

Homeschool class- earth day

Geared to homeschoolers ages 9 to 12, this Oakland Nature Preserve class focuses on Earth Day and the importance of caring for the planet. Students will learn what Earth Day is and discuss everyday actions that help protect the environment. The content is the same as another session offered in the same month, so participants should sign up for only one.

Toddler Time

Designed for toddlers and their families, this barn experience offers hands-on time with horses and other farm animals. Participants can meet and pet the animals, visit the nursery to see plenty of baby animals, brush the mini horses, and enjoy a pony ride in the arena. Bringing apples or carrots is welcomed for feeding the horses, donkey, ponies, and other farm residents. It is an outdoor outing centered on nature and making family memories. Coach Diane Calloway, also known as TRiDi, leads structured sessions focused on pace practice, pick-ups, and speed development. Workouts vary from session to session and are suitable for athletes at any pace. The group meets at Clermont Waterfront Park by the boat ramp restrooms just east of the park. Bring hydration, along with a stretch band and a towel.

Wednesday Social Bike Ride

Ride Advocate Keith leads a social, no drop, entry level bike ride on the West Orange and South Lake Trail. Plan for roughly two and a half hours at an easy to moderate pace around 15 mph, covering about 32 miles while practicing group ride fundamentals in a friendly atmosphere. Helmets are required. This is not a sanctioned race or event and all riders participate at their own risk. Trek Clermont shares bicycling and route information as a planning resource only and makes no guarantees of accuracy. Participants should check current conditions, including weather, surface conditions, and any closures, obey all applicable laws and land use rules, and carry appropriate safety and navigation equipment.

A parent or caregiver must stay with each child for the full duration. Dress for the elements with sun and insect protection, and consider closed-toe shoes, a hat, and a reusable water bottle. If the weather is unfavorable, activities will take place in the Museum. Space is limited. When registering, include the number of children in the comments section.

4th Annual Celebration of Moms

FIT4MOM West Orlando kicks off Month of Mama by celebrating four years with a high-energy, total-body workout that blends class formats such as Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Strides 360. It offers a chance to meet the team, explore which format feels right, and connect with other local moms. Little ones are welcome and there will be something for them as well. Members of Winter Garden - Horizon West Kiwanis will gather at Matthew’s Hope Firm Foundation to pressure wash and freshen the preschool playground. The Dink Duel

At the Clermont Arts & Recreation Center, The Dink Duel brings the pickleball community together for a charitable tournament centered on connection, friendly competition, and giving back. Proceeds support UCP of Central Florida, an organization that empowers children with and without disabilities through inclusive education, therapy, and family services. Each team is guaranteed at least four games, offering plenty of court time and opportunities to meet new opponents. Town of Oakland Car Stroll

The car stroll in the Town of Oakland returns for its third year and does not require registration. Meet-and-Greet Adorable Adoptables at Petco

Meet adoptable dogs from The Animal League at Petco Clermont. Talk with volunteers about adoption, fostering, volunteering, donating, and other questions about the organization. Cats from The Animal League are also housed at this location, and Team Meow volunteers host meet and greets for them. Store employees cannot provide access to handle the cats, so contact the adoption team to arrange an appointment to meet a specific cat. The Animal League uses a matching process to pair pets with the right homes, and the first step is to complete an adoption application. Donations are welcomed at the adoption center, the thrift store by appointment, and the wellness center.

This is an open water swim and run practice for swimmers and triathletes at Clermont Waterfront Park on Lake Minneola. Gather at the picnic pavilion where the coach will provide instructions. Participants should be ready to swim first, and bring all necessary swim and run gear, hydration, and nutrition for a 2-hour training session. The session includes a 55-minute swim, a quick change into running gear, and a 55-minute run workout. Novice swimmers are encouraged to take a private lesson before their first session.

Glow Saturdays

GLOW is an elevated version of the Sky Zone experience. Enjoy blacklights, energetic music, and a GLOW-in-the-dark twist. When the lights go out, GLOW goes off, transforming any visit into a memorable one. A GLOW t-shirt is included with admission and must be worn to jump. SkySocks and a valid waiver are also required.

Meditative Hike & Yoga at the Lake

Experience calming, nature-centered mindfulness at Oakland Nature Preserve with certified instructor Felecia Bryant. Choose a half mile forest bathing walk with guided meditation, a gentle yoga class by the lake, or combine both for a full two-hour experience. The Meditative Hike follows an easy half mile route and concludes with quiet meditation. Bring water. This session lasts about 45 minutes, is $10, and begins on the porch of the Environmental Education Center. Yoga at the Lake offers an all-levels practice at the end of the Healthy West Orange Boardwalk. Allow time to walk roughly two thirds of a mile to the lakeside spot, and bring a mat and water. This class runs about 60 minutes and is $15. Nature Nurtures includes the hike and meditation followed by the lakeside yoga practice. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

Painting Class: Golden Unicorn

Enjoy a family day painting a golden unicorn. Adults and children ages 5 and up are welcome to attend this event. Adults can observe without a paid reservation. FRIDEday Group Bike Ride

Take on a brisk, long-distance group ride covering about 42 miles with a typical speed of 18 to 20 miles per hour. The route uses public roadways and a bike trail to Apopka and returns to the starting point. Helmets are required and lights are recommended. All riders must follow traffic laws and participate at their own risk. The ride is led by Keith.

CTC regularly lends volunteer support to this event at World Triathlon Destination - Clermont Waterfront Park. Volunteers are needed at the swim out and run out stations for the Girlz on Fire races. It is a chance to encourage athletes on course while assisting event operations. Further information will be shared as plans are finalized.

AdventHealth Girlz on Fire Triathlon & 5K

Designed for women, this race day at World Triathlon Destination, Clermont Waterfront Park features a sprint triathlon with a quarter-mile swim, an 8-mile bike ride, and a 3.1-mile run. There is also a duathlon and a 5K run or walk. Taking place over Mother’s Day weekend, it provides several ways to participate.

Saturday Group Bike Ride

Head out from Trek Clermont for a friendly group ride where the route is chosen together. Plan for roughly 26 to 33 miles that could include a mix of climbs, flat stretches, and segments on the road. The pace averages around 19 mph and no one is left behind. Please obey all traffic laws and participate at your own risk. Helmets are required and lights are encouraged. Keith leads the ride.

Meet-and-Greet Adorable Adoptables

Meet a few of The Animal League’s adoptable dogs at the newly opened Petco in Clermont. Knowledgeable volunteers will be available to share details about adopting, volunteering, fostering, donating, and other ways to support the organization. Adoptable cats are also housed at this location. Team Meow volunteers host meet-and-greets, and cats can be viewed during regular store hours. Store employees cannot facilitate petting or holding, so appointments with the adoption team are required to meet individual cats. The Animal League follows a best match adoption approach to help place pets in homes that fit each family’s lifestyle and environment. The first step in the process is to complete an adoption application. Donations are welcomed and can be dropped off at the adoption center, the thrift store, or the wellness center.

Farm Tour

Explore Here On The Farm with Farmer Banks during a tour that covers seven acres and 15 experimental garden areas. The landscape includes vegetable, herb, tea and shade gardens, a Monet inspired plot, a food forest, an orchard, a vineyard, a pineapple and watermelon section, wild blackberries, a row of sugar cane, and a bamboo living fence. Sustainability is on full display with a farmhouse designed for passive heating and cooling, a rainwater capture system, gray water filtration, a solar array, worm tea production, beehives, and a lemongrass lined driveway for erosion control, all reflecting regenerative farming principles. Banks shares insights, stories, and a few dad jokes along the way. From time to time, well known local farmers stop by to talk about new plant varieties and techniques. In season harvests are tasted when available, so an appetite is welcome. Families with children are invited, and bringing a hat and plenty of curiosity is encouraged.

Meditative Hike & Yoga at the Lake

Experience a restorative mindfulness session at Oakland Nature Preserve with certified instructor Felecia Bryant. Choose a meditative hike, a lakeside yoga class, or combine both for an extended reset. The hike features a gentle half-mile forest-bathing walk followed by a guided meditation. Bring water. This option lasts about 45 minutes, is $10, and sets out from the porch of the Environmental Education Center. The yoga class offers a gentle, all-levels practice by the water at the end of the Healthy West Orange Boardwalk. Plan for the approximately two thirds of a mile walk to the lakeside spot and bring a yoga mat and water. This class runs about 60 minutes and is $15. To enjoy the full two-hour experience, register for both sessions. Suitable for all levels, these offerings provide an unhurried way to slow down and reconnect in the peaceful surroundings of the preserve. Advance registration is required and space is limited.

At The Stillroom, Aura Photo Days offer a chance to see your energy signature captured in color. TI Easy Freestyle Weekend Workshop (Levels 1 & 2): Clermont/Orlando, FL

A two-day easy freestyle workshop in the Clermont and Orlando area brings swimmers together at National Training Center - Clermont NTC under the guidance of TI Senior Coach Dave Cameron. The focus is on the fundamental skills and the three core foundations of Total Immersion Swimming, with content suitable for beginners, triathletes, and elite swimmers. Across the weekend, participants move through a blend of pool training, underwater video analysis, classroom coaching, and dryland rehearsal. The program begins with on-deck check-in, an initial underwater filming session paired with group instruction in the outdoor pool, then a classroom review of the first video, a lunch break, and an on-deck technique rehearsal before returning to the water for additional coached practice. The second day continues with guided pool work, a video review with Q&A, another lunch break, more pool instruction that includes a fourth underwater video, and a final classroom wrap-up to review the last footage. Levels one and two are covered, offering a clear path to refine stroke efficiency and confidence in the water.

Stop 3 Thigh High @ Groveland | WAKESURF / FOIL

The third stop of the Wake United Surf + Wake Series returns to Groveland with Thigh High Surf + Wake, highlighting wakesurf and foil contests at Lake David Park. Competitors face off on the water alongside the Regal & Nautique of Orlando team while families and fans take in a relaxed lake-day vibe. Food options and breaks between heats offer time to connect with the local wake community and keep an eye on steady action from start to finish.

Stop 3 continues in Groveland with a wakeboard competition at Thigh High Surf + Wake in Lake David Park. Presented alongside the Regal and Nautique of Orlando team, it pairs competitive riding with a laid back lakeside setting. Riders, families and fans can spend the day watching wakeboarding, enjoying food, and spending time on the water. Centered on community, this stop has a way of bringing people back year after year.

Meditative Hike & Yoga at the Lake

Slow the pace and focus inward during a mindfulness outing with certified instructor Felecia Bryant at Oakland Nature Preserve. Choose a meditative woodland walk, a gentle lakeside yoga class, or combine the two for an extended experience that welcomes all levels. The guided hike features a half mile forest bathing stroll followed by a seated meditation. It sets out from the porch of the Environmental Education Center. Plan to bring water. The session lasts about 45 minutes and the cost is $10. The lakeside yoga class offers a calm, accessible practice at the end of the Healthy West Orange Boardwalk. Bring a mat and water. The session is 60 minutes and the fee is $15. The Nature Nurtures option pairs the forest bathing and meditation with the gentle yoga class for approximately two hours of mindful movement and stillness. To participate in this combined option, register for both the hike and the yoga. Pre-registration is required and space is limited.

BBQ & Bingo

Kick off summer with a flavorful mashup of barbecue tasting and bingo in Fellowship Hall. Sample smoked and grilled creations from the community’s pitmasters, then vote to help name the BBQ Champion. After the tasting, keep the fun going with simple bingo games and prizes. Brisket, cool sides, and friendly competition set the tone for a relaxed start to the season.

Life Skills and Leadership Summer Program (9-14 yrs old)

This structured, enrichment-focused summer program for ages 9 to 14 helps students build practical life and leadership skills not typically covered in traditional classrooms. Through hands-on activities, guided projects, and collaborative learning, participants strengthen confidence and communication, sharpen problem-solving and critical thinking, and gain financial awareness that includes saving, budgeting, and real-world math. The experience also emphasizes leadership, teamwork, resilience, mindset, and personal responsibility, encouraging students to put their learning into practice beyond the classroom. The program runs in a small-group format limited to 25, follows a consistent daily structure, and takes place in a safe, supervised setting led by experienced educators and mentors. Conquer Challenge

Conquer Challenge is a competitive fitness event designed to test strength, endurance, and consistency. A $50 entry includes two personal training sessions, an exclusive athlete tee, and weekly workout guides, along with the opportunity to compete for $17,000 in cash prizes. Fairy Hair - Winter Garden - The Summit

Fairy hair is offered at The Summit of Winter Garden on the second Monday of each month. The setting is a resort-style community for adults 55 and older. Upon arrival, guests should check in at the front desk kiosk. Friends and family are welcome. Walk-ins are fine, and an appointment can be set up by texting Tiana at (407)864-7075.

Clermont Secular Invocation & Dinner

At City of Clermont City Hall, a Humanist will deliver a secular and inclusive pre-meeting invocation on behalf of the CFFC. The gathering emphasizes welcoming a wide range of perspectives in civic affairs. After the invocation, there will be a casual meal at a nearby location.

An evening dedicated to community, culture, and the spirit of Juneteenth unfolds at Cherry Lake Park, with a focus on freedom, heritage, and unity. The celebration features live music from Music Revue, a performance by Bahamas Junkanoo International, a car show, guest speakers, vendors and food trucks, the annual BBQ competition, and a bar area. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating during the performances and to settle in for a relaxed night with family and friends.

Caturday at Petco

Meet adoptable cats from The Animal League at Petco Clermont. Team Meow volunteers will be on hand for introductions, to answer questions, and to discuss how to become a foster. If you decide to pursue adoption, the organization uses a matching process to help place pets in homes that fit each lifestyle and environment. Cats housed at this location can be viewed during normal business hours, but store employees cannot provide access for petting or holding. Please schedule an appointment with the adoption team for a dedicated meet and greet.

AdventHealth Freedom 5k Presented by LiveTrends Design Group

The seventh AdventHealth Clermont Freedom 5K presented by LiveTrends Design Group welcomes runners and walkers to a festive Independence Day outing through Downtown Clermont. The event returns to its roots with a start at Clermont City Hall and a finish at Suncreek Brewery, featuring a refreshed route with less trail. Those unable to attend in person can participate virtually and still receive race swag. Entry includes accurate timing, a gender-specific custom running tank, a custom finisher’s medal, access to the finish area at Suncreek Brewery, and post-race snacks, beverages, and watermelon.

Head to the new Petco in Clermont to meet a few of The Animal League’s adoptable dogs and talk with volunteers about adopting, fostering, volunteering, donating, and other questions about the organization. Cat lovers can also connect with Team Meow volunteers during in store meet and greets, and the cats housed at Petco Clermont can be viewed at the store. To spend one on one time with a specific cat, reach out to the adoption team to schedule a visit. If you choose to move forward with an adoption, The Animal League follows a best match process that begins with an application.
