San Leandro

San Leandro brings its Denver-based psych funk project to Schmiggity's, led by keyboardist, songwriter, and producer Leandro “Leo” Albertoni. The music mixes the warmth of 1970s West Coast R&B with modern indie and singer songwriter influences, striking a balance between inward-looking lyrics and grooves that move. Albertoni’s songs pair thoughtful themes with layered arrangements, rooted in live rhythm section chemistry and vintage keys. The result is an organic, melodic sound that nods to artists like Neal Francis and Magic City Hippies while remaining distinctly its own. Fans of Vulfpeck, Neal Francis, and Magic City Hippies may connect with this style.

San Leandro

San Leandro is a psych funk outfit from Denver led by keyboardist, songwriter, and producer Leandro Albertoni. The group blends the sunlit soul of 70s West Coast R&B with contemporary indie and singer songwriter sensibilities, striking a balance between inward reflection and forward motion. Thoughtful lyrics unfold over richly layered arrangements, tight rhythm section chemistry, and vintage keyboards. Listeners who enjoy Neal Francis or Magic City Hippies may hear familiar colors, yet the sound remains distinctly its own, warm, melodic, and deeply human.
