Guided Meditation

Pause and experience the calm of the park during a guided meditation led by Andrea Abrahamson, a certified Instinctive Meditation teacher. In a diverse garden setting, participants settle on the Green to slow down, tune into the sounds around them, and deepen their personal practice through the support of a group. The focus centers on community, with each gathering exploring a different connection point such as family, neighbors, coworkers, or pets. The intention is to nurture personal well-being so returning to a busy routine feels a bit easier. Beginners are welcome. Andrea will guide the session and draws on many years of experience leading centering and calming practices. To stay comfortable, bring something to sit on like a towel, blanket, or mat. Some people enjoy stretching out on the grass and taking a few moments to journal or sketch afterward. A suggested donation of $5 is appreciated. About the teacher: Andrea offers group and one-on-one instruction. She shares how meditation supported her through difficult times and how it can benefit people from many backgrounds, including students, athletes, professionals, and parents.

Music

J. Roddy Walston

J. Roddy Walston delivers a whirlwind live set built for movement and feeling. Big tracks like Heavy Bells roar with rallying force, while deep cuts such as Boys Can Never Tell lean into a more reflective, strategic groove. His sound pulls from a combustible mix of influences... the fire of Kurt Cobain, the fractured sweetness of Nilsson, the heft of Led Zeppelin, and a sly nod to William Onyeabor’s lonely, synth-splashed funk. Attempts to box him in do not stick. Onstage he embraces chaos, the songs hold fast, and the impact lingers. He performs with his band, and the concert is free.
