Musical Hike

Following a musical hike last year that many enjoyed, this guided walk explores more than a century of Chautauqua history with naturalist Suzanne Michot and musician Laurie D. The group will pause along the trail to learn about the area’s past and to observe the plants, wildlife, and geology that define the landscape. Laurie will provide live, nature themed songs, and participants can sing along or simply enjoy the music and the views. The route covers about two miles with roughly 300 feet of elevation gain, though distance and elevation may vary with the group. Meet in front of the Chautauqua Dining Hall. A suggested donation of $20 to $30 is accepted by cash or Venmo. The free bus is not running until May, and parking options include free street parking as well as paid parking on Chautauqua property.

Moto Mondays Bike Night

Bike nights are back with a new home at Romero's K9 Club & Tap House, bringing together the local two wheel community to talk shop and compare rides. Expect shaded parking and cold pours with non alcoholic choices, plus light snacks from the tap house. Outside food is welcome, and delivery to the patio is allowed, with many nearby eateries to choose from. Plans are weather dependent. Participants are asked to ride safely and treat the venue with respect. Vintage machines are encouraged, and every kind of motorcycle is invited.

Conscious Breathwork Journey @ The Star House

Set within the StarHouse, this breathwork gathering centers on presence, safety, and genuine connection. Participants are welcomed into a caring container where every part of themselves can be seen, felt, and honored, with an emphasis on turning toward what seeks attention and expression without clinging to stories. The evening unfolds with arrival and check-in, a period of authentic relating, time to set up a personal nest, a guided breathwork experience, and a closing for integration. The practice uses circular or connected breathing, inviting an active inhale and a soft, surrendered exhale while resting in a supportive position. It is designed to nourish transformation on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels, and is known to engage inner awareness for greater clarity. No prior experience is required, and a skilled facilitation team is present to support deeper work with care and competency. Please come prepared with a mat to lie on, a pillow, a blanket, and a water bottle, as extra supplies are not provided. Items that may enhance comfort include something to cushion under the knees, an additional mat or blanket, an eye mask, and a personal intention for the session. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for an extended time lying down. Plan to arrive with enough time to walk from the parking area to the venue and complete check-in. Guidance is offered by Danny Balgooyen, a breathwork guide, conscious dance DJ, and facilitator with roughly a decade of experience. He co-founded Inner Light Revival Breathwork and Boulder Ecstatic Dance and focuses on presence, safety, and honest emotional exploration while nurturing community in Boulder. He is joined by Sophie Howell, a multidisciplinary facilitator and sound healer who brings creativity, ceremony, and empowerment to her work. She co-founded Everland and The Goddess Temple in Denver and supports growth-oriented experiences rooted in meaning and integrity. Together they hold a container devoted to connection and community. Ticketing uses tiers so participants can choose an option that aligns with their financial situation, and tiers become unavailable once filled. If cost is a barrier, communication with the organizer is welcomed to discuss what is feasible. All sales are final, though tickets may be transferred to another person in advance and the original holder is responsible for arranging the exchange. Questions about ticketing or participation are not addressed immediately before the gathering. Purchasing a ticket includes consent to be added to the artist mailing list.

Brewed at Altitude: A Beer Lover's History of Colorado

Explore Colorado’s past through the lens of beer, from the gold rush era when saloons served as post offices, restaurants, hotels, social clubs, and union halls, to the years the state went dry after banning alcohol ahead of national Prohibition. The narrative follows beer’s return, the resurgence that made brewing big business by the 1970s, and the rise of professional craft from homebrewing that has helped make Colorado a renowned destination for a pint. This presentation offers a tour of state history as seen through a pint glass, more than just a tale of ale. Historians Sam Bock and Jason L. Hanson lead the program. Bock is History Colorado’s director of interpretation and publications and is from Boulder, Colorado. He was the lead exhibition developer for Beer Here! Brewing the New West, has written extensively on the state’s brewing past, and completed graduate work in history at the University of Colorado Boulder. Hanson is the Chief Creative Officer at History Colorado, has written and lectured widely about brewing history, and co-authored A Ditch in Time: The City, The West, and Water. When it comes to beer, he describes himself as an aficionado rather than a connoisseur, a lover rather than a snob.
