RODF - 🥋 Inclusive Karate Class – Every Wednesday 🥋

Held every Wednesday at Rick Novack Community Center, this inclusive karate class welcomes children, teens, and adults of all abilities. The program emphasizes clear structure, consistent routines, and steady personal growth in a friendly, encouraging setting. Students practice foundational karate skills while improving balance, coordination, focus, and confidence. Instruction is tailored so each participant advances at a comfortable pace, with attention to effort, progress, and respect for self and others. The class also cultivates self-discipline, emotional regulation, physical strength, teamwork, and positive behavior. No prior experience is required, and families or caregivers are welcome to observe or participate if needed.

High Desert All-Star Awards

Hosted by HDSportsFoundation, this inaugural celebration honors outstanding High Desert high school student-athletes and recognizes HDSF Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Terry Kurtz. Billed as the Espys of the High Desert for high school student-athletes, the program spotlights achievement and the next generation of High Desert leaders and athletes. The gathering will be held at Victor Valley College Performing Arts Center. Tickets are available.
