Connect with other professionals at a monthly networking mixer at Cambria. Bring plenty of business cards, since they will be collected and shared with participants after the gathering to make follow up easy. Admission is $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Hosted by Tavern Tales SD in Coachella Valley at Murasaki Kakurega, this dark fantasy tabletop one shot blends anime and manga influences with monster hunting and immersive roleplay. Tickets include a complete one shot adventure, a themed blind box, discounts on related manga, and access to the Murasaki Kakurega Manga Lounge for the day. Early purchases on Eventbrite receive a $5 discount, with an additional $5 off Part 2 when tickets for that event are also purchased. Cosplay is welcome, though entirely optional. The game uses D&D 5.5E adapted to the setting, and all character sheets and play materials are provided. Seating is limited and may sell out.
Murasaki KakuregaSalsa Footwork Class
Pantera Dance Company offers a salsa footwork class, often called shines, at In Movement Dance Studio. The session focuses on Salsa On 1 and starts with a follow-along warm up, then moves into instruction and review of practical steps and body movement needed for the day’s combo. Practice may take place in the center of the room or through across-the-floor drills. The class welcomes beginners and those with experience, with an emphasis on refining technique for a safer time on the dance floor. It is open-gender and open-level, and is available to ages 12 and up with minors supervised. No partner is required since shines is danced solo, and participants can choose styling options that support their own expression regardless of gender. Recommended attire includes Latin shoes with a suede sole, or comfortable street shoes without a sticky rubber sole. Please consider using deodorant and mints. The fee is $20 or it is included with Pantera Dance Company membership. Registration is available through the IMD website, and payment can be made via Venmo or Zelle. A Meetup-only discount code, MIAU26, may provide 50 percent off and is limited to two uses per class, so early registration is encouraged.
In Movement Dance StudioLunch Club | Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill
Presented by the Greater Coachella Valley Chamber of Commerce, this Lunch Club gathering takes place at Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill in Palm Desert and blends casual networking with a set lunch menu. Attendees can connect with chamber members while choosing from an individual two topping pizza, a street taco, Baja fish tacos, a chipotle fried chicken sandwich, yuzu ahi salad, Mongolian beef with white rice, or a smashburger with fries. Participation requires purchasing one of these options, and no other menu will be available. Advance registration is required and walk-ins are not accepted. Guests are encouraged to bring business cards and a brief 30 second elevator pitch. Pricing is $18 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
