Merced Breastfeeding Cafe Support Group
This relaxed breastfeeding cafe welcomes all parents, including those not on WIC. Attendees receive support with breastfeeding and pumping, hands-on help with latch, flange fit, and understanding baby behavior. A certified lactation consultant offers guidance, and peer support and weight checks are available, plus practical advice for returning to work. It is a casual drop in format, so you can come and go as needed. Habla español.

Lactation Education - Mommy & Me Program
A prenatal breastfeeding class presented by Merced WIC and the Boys & Girls Club of Merced County focuses on the essentials of feeding your baby. Learn the fundamentals of breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding, how to recognize that your baby is getting enough milk, how antibodies support infant health, and ways to sort fact from common myths. The session is free and open to the public, with no requirement to be part of WIC or the Boys & Girls Club, and no advance registration needed. Spanish interpretation will be available. Goodie bags will be offered to the first 10 attendees. The class takes place at the Boys & Girls Club Teen Center in Merced and is intended for those who are pregnant or newly postpartum.
