Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie Premiere

Celebrate the Phoenix premiere of Skweezy Jibbs Makes a Movie with Skweezy appearing live in person. Catch an early look at the film, then stay for an exclusive Q&A and meet and greet with Skweezy. This is a one night engagement, presented in auditorium 2, and there will be no trailers before the feature. The story follows the offbeat internet personality as he attempts to craft the mashup of his dreams, blending high-octane action, sultry spectacle, towering robots, and turbocharged street racing, all while lacking a budget and any real filmmaking experience.

✨ Cosmic Coffee & Astrology Sip Tea. Talk Stars. Align Your Week.

A relaxed astrology circle led by astrologer Gena invites thoughtful conversation about what is happening in the sky and how those themes might be showing up in everyday life. The focus stays on clear, down‑to‑earth insights rather than heavy jargon or complicated charts, offering guidance for navigating the present with more awareness, clarity, and alignment. Conversation typically covers the week’s key planetary influences, the emotional and energetic patterns unfolding collectively, which zodiac signs may notice the shifts most, and practical ways to work with the energy. There is time for group discussion and questions. A Community Chart Spotlight gives one volunteer the chance to have a few placements briefly explored to illustrate how current transits can interact with a personal chart, creating a shared, real‑world learning moment for everyone. Newcomers and astrology enthusiasts alike are welcome, especially those who enjoy meaningful dialogue about personal growth and cosmic timing in an easygoing setting. Tea and coffee from Bark & Brew are available to sip while settling into the conversation. Attendees who know their Sun, Moon, or Rising sign may find that information helpful during the discussion.

✨ Sacred Scrolls: Akashic Records Inner Child Clearing & Core Wound Healing with Angie✨

A group Akashic clearing at Lightwork Lounge centers on inner child healing and core wounds. It acknowledges the parts of you that learned to adapt and protect before there was enough support or language to process big feelings. Through the Sacred Scrolls process, the Akashic Records are intentionally accessed as an energetic library of your soul’s history, including experiences, emotions, beliefs, and identity patterns. The intention is to release what no longer fits, refresh outdated energetic patterns, and restore balance, truth, and sovereignty. This work meets early imprints such as unprocessed emotions, survival beliefs about love, safety, and worth, and roles adopted to feel accepted or protected. These roots can show up now as overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, fear of rejection, disproportionate triggers, difficulty receiving or trusting, and repeating relationship or life patterns. Rather than focus on symptoms, the session aims for the origin point. Participants can expect guidance through clearing childhood imprints in the Akashic field, dissolving subconscious beliefs formed early in life, releasing protective roles like the pleaser or the strong one, settling the nervous system at a foundational level, calling home younger aspects of self, and re-establishing inner safety, trust, and emotional steadiness. It is designed for those who have already done personal work yet sense a deeper layer, notice recurring emotional patterns, or want a more honest and transformative level of understanding. No prior Sacred Scrolls experience is needed. This is an experiential, guided clearing held with clear intention and energetic support rather than a lecture. Many people notice emotional release, greater clarity and self-awareness, a calmer nervous system, an expanded sense of inner safety and self-compassion, and relief from patterns that no longer feel aligned. The approach honors your current capacity. Only what is ready to release will clear, creating space for your most authentic self to come forward.

✨ Reiki I Training & Certification with Jenny Mitchell (Mama Agape)

Begin a foundational Reiki I training that welcomes absolute beginners and anyone seeking renewed confidence in their practice. This in-person experience emphasizes direct connection with Reiki through instruction, practice, and attunements, with no prerequisites required. You will learn what Reiki is and how it works, receive a healing attunement along with your Level I attunement, and explore the Reiki Ideals as a daily guide for emotional steadiness and spiritual alignment. Training includes Gassho meditation for centering, traditional and intuitive energy scanning methods such as Byosen and Reiji-ho, the full set of hand placements for self-treatment, and Kenyoku techniques for energetic clearing. You will leave prepared to give yourself a complete Reiki session at home. A professional training manual valued at $35 or more is included to support continued learning, and guided practice is built into the day so you can depart with confidence. The course is led by Jenny Mitchell, also known as Mama Agape, a Reiki Master Teacher in Tibetan Usui Reiki, Holy Fire Reiki, Karuna Reiki, and Blue Star Celestial Reiki, and the author of Questions for a Reiki Master Teacher: Get the Answers You Never Had Anyone to Ask. Her approach is compassionate, grounded, and supportive, creating a safe environment for exploration and growth. Zentangle BEGIN

Explore the Zentangle Method in a beginner-friendly session that turns simple, structured patterns into beautiful artwork. These patterns, known as tangles, are created without a set plan, which encourages attention to each deliberate stroke rather than the final result. The process is easy to learn, calming, and enjoyable, and no prior drawing experience is required. Many participants notice improved focus, enhanced creativity, greater self-confidence, and a heightened sense of well-being through this practice. Instruction is led by Karen Izzi, PhD, a Certified Zentangle Teacher since 2012. The fee is $40.

Volunteers & Community Support Needed

Arizona Prison Stops Nothing is planning its first park gathering for families affected by incarceration, with a focus on connection, play, and support. The day will feature a memory table where families can make matching bracelets in honor of their loved ones, face painting, a bounce house and play area, arts and crafts with coloring projects, a photo booth for keepsake pictures, and a message wall and ribbon tree for notes to loved ones. Families can also enjoy relay and sack races, a kids reading corner with storytime, and a food and refreshment area. A 50/50 raffle and a basket auction will help raise funds for families in need, and resource and information booths will connect attendees with support and advocacy services. Volunteers are needed to set up activity areas, help children with crafts, run games and activities, assist with food and drinks, support the raffle and auction, and provide general event assistance. The goal is to bring families together, uplift children, honor those who are incarcerated, and strengthen community ties. Those interested in volunteering, donating supplies, creating auction baskets, or hosting a booth are invited to contact the organizers.

Phoenix Zentangle

Held on third Sundays, this social gathering explores the Zentangle method with guidance from local Certified Zentangle Teachers Izzi and Diana. Participants share techniques for this global abstract art through relaxed, pen to paper meditation and mixed media. It is not a formal class, so beginners should complete an introductory lesson beforehand. Attendees typically bring their own Zentangle tiles, favorite pens, and sketchbooks. The group began as Philly Area Zentangle in 2012, and today Zentangle Surprise serves as a hub for Certified Zentangle Teachers and art enthusiasts.
