BRiCK Level 1 Improvement Course in Phoenix

Bruno and Raiza bring their BRiCK Academy Level 1 Improvement Course to Phoenix, focusing on Brazilian Zouk through the BRiCK methodology that builds the dance from its smallest elements. This multi day intensive is limited to 15 pairs and blends focused classes with supervised practice to help experienced dancers deepen fundamentals and explore creative choices. It is not for beginners, and prior Brazilian Zouk experience is required, with around two years recommended depending on dedication and practice habits. The course takes place at the Mesa Institute of Religion. A social dance is planned on the final day. Accommodation and food are not included, and the course is transferable but non-refundable. Additional Monday classes and a social with Bruno and Raiza are planned before and after the course for anyone interested in connecting with the community beyond the core curriculum.

Papago Bush League #2 - PDGA Sanctioned

Take part in a PDGA sanctioned league with on-site registration by the parking area next to the tee pads for holes 3 and 8. The MPO division plays for $10, with $1 going to the Ace Pot, $1 to the PDGA fee, and $8 paid out in cash. The MA1 amateur division plays for $7, with $1 to the Ace Pot, $1 to the PDGA fee, and $5 returned as Spinners store credit. Tilt Studio Pinball League - Spring 2026 Season

JesterZ Improv Comedy Show

Celebrating 25 years of laughs, this fast-paced live improv comedy show features professional actors, comedians, and stand-up comics who create scenes on the spot from audience ideas. There are no scripts, every word is improvised, and the result is 75 minutes of continuous comedy. Billed as Arizona’s longest-running improv comedy show since 2001, the troupe is now performing in downtown Gilbert with a lineup of Arizona improvisers. One item is required with each admission.

Life Line Screening brings preventive health screenings to San Tan Heights Community Center. Since 1993, the organization has provided annual tests that help assess stroke and cardiovascular risk along with other chronic health concerns. This visit features a package of five screenings, including a carotid artery ultrasound to look for plaque buildup linked to stroke, an abdominal aortic aneurysm ultrasound to check for enlargement that could lead to a ruptured aorta, a heart rhythm screening for atrial fibrillation using a quick six lead EKG placed on the arms and legs, and a peripheral arterial disease assessment focused on the lower extremities, which is associated with increased cardiovascular risk. A free blood pressure screening for hypertension is also included. Pitch in on a paddle-powered cleanup along the lower Salt River with the Tonto National Forest Mesa Ranger District River Rangers. Enjoy the outdoors and cool off by the water while helping remove debris from this scenic stretch. A volunteer parking pass for the event, trash bags, and trash grabbers are provided, and haul back is available unless carpooling with other volunteers. Youth volunteers are welcome with parental supervision. This is a bring your own watercraft activity, and a personal flotation device is required. Put-in and take-out locations will be announced, with possible sites including Water Users, Pebble Beach, Blue Point, Sheep's Crossing, Goldfield, Phon D Sutton, and Granite Reef. The cleanup typically runs for about four hours along the Lower Salt River in Tonto National Forest.

Campers take a turn in the saddle, brush and care for the horses, and help with barn chores using kid-sized tools. The rotation keeps the pace lively and ensures everyone tries every activity. Enrollment is limited to 9 campers per session to keep groups small and supportive.

A back to school supply drive is gathering donations so students can begin the new school year prepared and confident. Contributions can be delivered to Betty and Edgard’s residence or brought to the Chapter Meeting, and all items are due by that meeting. Suggested supplies include pencils and colored pencils, notebooks and composition books, crayons and markers, scissors and glue sticks, folders and binders, hand sanitizer and tissues, and backpacks along with other school essentials. Every donation supports students and families in the community. The effort reflects a commitment to faith, family, and community, with the spirit of one Empire and one family that remains faithful to the Bay.
