At the Ship Creek Fisheries Center at the William Jack Hernandez Sport Fish Hatchery, this sport fishing class offers hands-on instruction in tying spin-n-glo bait rigs and egg loop knots, a go-to combination for targeting salmon. Participants will practice the techniques and take their completed set-ups home to use later. Online registration is available.

This weekly Pokémon Trading Card Game gathering welcomes players of all experience levels for Standard format play. Expect a blend of casual and competitive matches, plus on-site assistance with deck construction and opportunities to build skills in a welcoming community. Registration takes place in store on the day of play and the fee is $10. Bring a Standard format deck. Prizes are awarded to the top performers each week, and newcomers are supported throughout.
Let's Go Birding Together, Alaska!
Audubon Alaska hosts a free, annual Let’s Go Birding Together (LGBT) bird walk during Pride Month at Chanshtnu/Westchester Lagoon in Anchorage. Led by Melanie A. Smith, Audubon’s Director of Digital Science & Data Products, the outing begins at the kayak and canoe launch, includes a short talk, and lasts about 90 minutes. The route follows the paved trail along Westchester Lagoon and continues onto the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail.
