Attendees can operate full-size electric pickups from Chevy and Ford, a Can-Am four wheeler, a Polaris Kinetic UTV, a Fusion commercial utility cart, and battery powered tools such as STIHL chainsaws and pole saws, an EGO push mower, a combination pole saw and string trimmer, a backpack blower, a hedge trimmer, and more. A free barbecue lunch will be provided, and advance registration is requested to help with meal planning. The event is not open to the general public. The 42nd Runner Stumbles 5k Walk and 5k/10k Race

Beginning at Suncadia’s Nelson Dairy Farm, this 5K and 10K race, along with a separate 5K walk, travels along tree-lined trails beside the Cle Elum River. The route is fast and suits both newcomers and runners chasing a personal best. After the finish, participants can enjoy refreshments, an awards ceremony with trophies and ribbons, and a free kids race and raffle. It is welcoming to runners and their families. The name comes from Stanley Kramer’s final film, The Runner Stumbles, filmed in Roslyn and Cle Elum in the late 1970s and set in a rural Roman Catholic parish. A nun wearing tennis shoes has served as the mascot for over a decade. The day also includes a firefighter-hosted all-you-can-eat breakfast, live music and a farmers market in Roslyn’s historic downtown dating to 1886, 10-hole putt-putt golf at the Dru Bru brewery, and a doggie diving and swim competition. The event is organized entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds benefiting local youth.

The Stories We Share is the Kittitas County Historical Society’s annual community fundraiser for the Museum, hosted at The Ridge Encore in historic Downtown Ellensburg. Animal Encounters presents a hands-on live bug experience at the Cle Elum Volunteer Fire Department. UKC Bocce Tournament

Celebrate a longstanding local tradition at the fourth annual bocce tournament in Upper County, presented in partnership with the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America (OSIDA) Cle Elum Lodge. Bocce came to Kittitas County with Italian immigrants more than 130 years ago, and this gathering keeps that heritage alive with a welcoming day of games at South Cle Elum's Firemen's Park. Experienced players and newcomers are invited to form two-person teams for friendly competition and plenty of laughs. There are activities for kids and fun for the whole family. Players 16 and under may participate when paired with a teammate over 16. Lunch is included for participants and available for purchase for spectators. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

Youth Gladiator Dash 2026

Youth Gladiator Dash brings a muddy, high-energy obstacle run to Rotary Park for participants from age 5 through 8th grade. The course blends speed and agility, featuring chances to run, jump, slide, crawl, balance, hop, search, climb, and throw, with plenty of opportunities to get thoroughly muddy. Registration is required. Sign up in person at Kittitas Valley Memorial Pool or register online. Day-of registration is available for $15 and does not include a T-shirt.
