The top two finishers will qualify for the end-of-year state tournament. The tournament is open to 18U, 16U, and 15U teams. The entry fee is $1,250.00, and each team is guaranteed four games.

Washington "Roslyn Riffle" DIY Fishing Event

The first Roslyn Riffle DIY Fishing Weekend welcomes newcomers and seasoned anglers to connect, build skills, and spend time on the water. Organized by iFishiBelong in collaboration with Crow Creek Fly Shop, it combines self-guided daytime fishing with intentional community time. Look for a social day on the water, learning sessions, and group gatherings that make it easy to meet fellow anglers, improve techniques, and share stories. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodations, and meals. Options include camping, cabins or hotels, or working with a guide, and resources and recommendations will be provided to suit a variety of budgets and preferences.

High Voltage Harvest Demo Day

This hands-on demonstration day showcases what electric equipment can do on the farm, ranch, job site, or acreage. Designed for agriculture professionals, those exploring work in the field, and hobby farmers, it offers practical, in-the-dirt trials rather than static displays. Attendees can operate full-size electric pickups from Chevy and Ford, a Can-Am four wheeler, a Polaris Kinetic UTV, a Fusion commercial utility cart, and battery powered tools such as STIHL chainsaws and pole saws, an EGO push mower, a combination pole saw and string trimmer, a backpack blower, a hedge trimmer, and more. A free barbecue lunch will be provided, and advance registration is requested to help with meal planning. The event is not open to the general public. Sponsored by E-Farms, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, and Puget Sound Energy, the day highlights how modern electric options can handle everyday agricultural demands without sacrificing toughness.

A Pioneer Village organized by the Cle Elum Vol. FF’s Association is also planned, with more details to come. This celebration is funded by the Kittitas County Lodging Tax and the City of Cle Elum Lodging Tax, and is presented by the Cle Elum Downtown Association. The 42nd Runner Stumbles 5k Walk and 5k/10k Race

Beginning at Suncadia’s Nelson Dairy Farm, this 5K and 10K race, along with a separate 5K walk, travels along tree-lined trails beside the Cle Elum River. The route is fast and suits both newcomers and runners chasing a personal best. After the finish, participants can enjoy refreshments, an awards ceremony with trophies and ribbons, and a free kids race and raffle. It is welcoming to runners and their families. The name comes from Stanley Kramer’s final film, The Runner Stumbles, filmed in Roslyn and Cle Elum in the late 1970s and set in a rural Roman Catholic parish. A nun wearing tennis shoes has served as the mascot for over a decade. The day also includes a firefighter-hosted all-you-can-eat breakfast, live music and a farmers market in Roslyn’s historic downtown dating to 1886, 10-hole putt-putt golf at the Dru Bru brewery, and a doggie diving and swim competition. The event is organized entirely by volunteers, with all proceeds benefiting local youth.

The Stories We Share is the Kittitas County Historical Society’s annual community fundraiser for the Museum, hosted at The Ridge Encore in historic Downtown Ellensburg. This warm gathering brings together neighbors, local businesses, and friends of the Museum to celebrate the stories that shape Kittitas County, past and present. Guests can connect over a shared meal while supporting the work of preserving local history, heritage, and everyday moments that make this place home. The evening features dinner, a live and silent auction, and a lively Dessert Dash, along with chances to learn more about the Museum’s collections and programs and the impact of community support. Animal Encounters presents a hands-on live bug experience at the Cle Elum Volunteer Fire Department. UKC Bocce Tournament

Celebrate a longstanding local tradition at the fourth annual bocce tournament in Upper County, presented in partnership with the Sons & Daughters of Italy in America (OSIDA) Cle Elum Lodge. Bocce came to Kittitas County with Italian immigrants more than 130 years ago, and this gathering keeps that heritage alive with a welcoming day of games at South Cle Elum's Firemen's Park. Experienced players and newcomers are invited to form two-person teams for friendly competition and plenty of laughs. There are activities for kids and fun for the whole family. Players 16 and under may participate when paired with a teammate over 16. Lunch is included for participants and available for purchase for spectators. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams.

Youth Gladiator Dash 2026

Youth Gladiator Dash brings a muddy, high-energy obstacle run to Rotary Park for participants from age 5 through 8th grade. The course blends speed and agility, featuring chances to run, jump, slide, crawl, balance, hop, search, climb, and throw, with plenty of opportunities to get thoroughly muddy. Registration is required. Sign up in person at Kittitas Valley Memorial Pool or register online. Day-of registration is available for $15 and does not include a T-shirt. Check-in takes place at the park before the run. Younger participants, ages 5 through 4th grade, start first, followed by grades 5 through 8. Equestrians Institute 2026 Dressage Championship

Equestrians Institute presents its first championship dressage show at Washington State Horse Park, offering a weekend of competition with special prizes, drawings, and more. Riders can qualify by earning scores at any USEF/USDF recognized dressage show while holding current Equestrians Institute membership at the time the scores are earned. The qualifying standards are designed to welcome competitors of all ages and levels and to highlight a wide variety of horse breeds. The championship will take place immediately after the Champagne/Crystal Open Show.

At the Kittitas County Fairgrounds, local youth will showcase their skills in the annual Kittitas County Junior Horse Fair, and attendance is open to everyone.
