Trance Channeling Development Circle

Guided by Jennifer Williams, this trance channeling circle welcomes anyone who feels called to explore the unseen and cultivate a closer relationship with spirit. Taking place in a small, intentionally selected room where energy feels concentrated, the gathering encourages a deeper shift in awareness. Many find this space supports an easier entry into openness where channeling, healing, and connection can flow more readily. Whether just beginning, experienced in this work, or wishing to observe, attendees receive grounded guidance. The group learns to notice the sensations of trance, understand how communication moves through the body, and open to messages or healing energy in a supportive way. Sessions blend learning, practice, receiving, and witnessing, helping build confidence, deepen trust, and foster a sense of community alongside spirit. Special Exhibit: Celebrating 100 Years of Black History Month

Marking a century of Black History Month, this exhibit looks at how African American history has been remembered, protected, and shared over the last hundred years, and why that effort remains essential today. It traces the beginnings of Black History Month and expands the view to show how communities keep the past alive through meaningful places, traditions, and cultural celebrations, with examples such as Hampton University’s Emancipation Oak, Juneteenth, and the Umoja Festival. In a moment when the telling of Black history is being challenged again, the exhibit highlights Portsmouth’s dedication to preserving, sharing, and amplifying Black voices, recognizing this history as a living and indispensable part of the American story.

Trance Channeling Development Circle

A guided circle led by Jennifer Williams invites those drawn to explore the unseen and strengthen their relationship with spirit. Held in a small, intentionally selected room that supports concentrated energy, the gathering includes time in a cabinet-style tent designed to focus and amplify spiritual energy. Many find that this setting makes it easier to ease into deeper openness where channeling, healing, and connection can flow. Lights are turned off to soften the physical senses so inner perception can become clearer, encouraging a deeper shift in awareness. The circle welcomes newcomers, longtime practitioners, and observers, offering a nurturing and grounded environment for growth. With attentive guidance, Jennifer helps participants recognize the sensations of trance, understand how spirit communication moves through the body, and open to messages or healing energy in a supportive way. Each meeting blends learning, practice, receiving, and witnessing others in their unfolding. Participants can build confidence, deepen trust, and feel supported by community and spirit while exploring their natural ability to connect beyond the physical world. Coffee Concert: Alexandre Da Costa, violin; Tommy Mesa, cello; Olga Kern, piano

Taking place at Towne University in Suffolk, this performance brings together three distinguished artists in a dynamic collaboration. Canadian violinist Alexandre Da Costa, who speaks of his instrument as an extension of his soul, appears alongside Cuban-American cellist Thomas “Tommy” Mesa, praised by Tucson.com for commanding virtuosity, and pianist Olga Kern, whose bold, high-energy style adds a vivid spark to the program. Da Costa’s leadership roles with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Québec and the Orquesta Sinfónica Sinaloa de las Artes underscore his stature on the international stage. Presented by the Virginia Arts Festival, this concert highlights passion, precision, and expressive power from violin, cello, and piano.
