A Yu-Gi-Oh! Advanced format tournament takes place at Atlantis Games & Comics - Portsmouth with a $5 entry fee and a three round cap. A Konami ID is required to participate. To help the event start on time, players must be on the sign-up list or in line by the registration cut-off, and calling ahead to be added is allowed. Late sign-ups may still enter but will be marked late and receive a penalty. For draft events, entry closes once the event begins. After the round timer starts, standard tardiness penalties apply even if a player called ahead. Every entrant receives an OTS or Tournament Pack with entry. Prizing awards one regular priced booster pack for each match win, and packs may be traded in for 75 percent of retail value in store credit. Random participation prizing is included, with half of the field selected at random to receive an additional OTS pack. A spring promotion is in effect. Players who participate in eight Sunday tournaments across April, May, and June will receive a free random Yu-Gi-Oh! booster box, which will be distributed on the final Sunday in June, and regular weekly prizes will still be awarded.

2026 New Skater Intake
At Sk8 Dojo Roller Rink, Dominion Derby Girls hosts a new skater intake that launches a three‑month training program for aspiring skaters and referees, with no prior skating or roller derby experience required. The opening session includes on‑site registration and a first practice, plus a live scrimmage component with NSO training. The program continues with regular Thursday practices. Participants must be at least 18, have primary health insurance, pay monthly dues, and bring a positive attitude with a strong drive to learn and skate hard. Required gear includes quad skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, a helmet, and a mouthguard. Limited loaner gear may be available upon request, and each participant must provide their own mouthguard. As a competitive WFTDA league, Dominion Derby Girls emphasizes safe, competitive play on a travel team, supported by experienced coaches who provide inclusive, skills‑building instruction. 2026 Wall Street Mural Festival
The Wall Street Mural Festival returns for its third year, presented by Support Portsmouth Public Art, with a celebration of street art, culture, and community in Downtown Portsmouth. The group brings more than 40 years of combined experience. Guitarist Mike Bourque and bassist Steve Penciak first emerged on the South Side of Chicago music scene in the late 1980s, later reconnecting to launch the band. Guitarist and vocalist Griffen McGuire and drummer Mike Kovach have performed together since high school, and when McGuire teamed up with Bourque and Penciak, Kovach became the drummer. Their influences include Pat Travers, Gov’t Mule, Chris Stapleton, Molly Hatchet, AC/DC, and ZZ Top, and their set includes original songs alongside classic covers. This family-friendly festival showcases national artists and offers food, drinks, camping, and artist vendors in support of veterans. Explore short form digital animation in a hands-on master class with Seamless: Art and Design exhibiting artist Jordan Bruner. Participants will create an original animated GIF in Adobe Photoshop using Wacom tablets while building core skills in frame by frame animation, looping, timing, and visual storytelling. Begin with rough sketches, develop ideas, and complete a polished digital loop with individualized feedback throughout. All skill levels are welcome, and the workshop is well suited to those interested in digital media, animation, illustration, or design. A 30 minute lunch break is included, so please bring a bagged lunch. Members $60, Nonmembers $75. Jordan Bruner is an artist and filmmaker whose work spans painting, printmaking, ceramics, and animation. She holds a BFA in Kinetic Imaging from VCU and developed her animation career in New York. Her projects have appeared at CADAF Miami and in installations commissioned by MTA Arts & Design in New York City, and her animated films have screened internationally at festivals including Pictoplasma and the LA Film Festival. Clients include The New York Times, The Atlantic, Warby Parker, and Eve Ensler. She received the Art Directors Club Young Guns Award in 2013 and returned to Richmond in 2019, where she continues her studio practice.

The route follows a gravel road and may extend up to five miles depending on where the birds are found, with chances to observe other species along the way. Bring water, binoculars or other optics, and protection from sun and insects. Carpooling is encouraged to reduce the trip’s carbon footprint. A VIP option is available with reserved seats near the stage, a welcome drink on arrival, and unlimited access to an elevated grazing station with cheeses, charcuterie, and seasonal hors d’oeuvres. Rideshare is recommended because parking is reserved for hotel guests. If weather requires a change, a rain date will be used. Tickets are non-refundable if the performance occurs on the rain date, and fully refunded if the event is canceled. The Tidewater Striders Duathlon features a sprint format with a 2 mile run, a 12.4 mile bike ride, and a final 2 mile run. Novice entrants cover the same course and distances as the sprint category, though they are not eligible for age group awards. Young athletes can participate in a mini-duathlon with a 1 mile run, a 5 mile bike ride, and a half mile run.
