The Art of Relaxation.

This restorative workshop invites a shift from constant fight or flight into genuine ease. Through unhurried, well-supported postures, the body is given time to settle, the breath to deepen, and the mind to grow quiet, which encourages the body’s natural relaxation response. The focus is on releasing effort and trusting that calm arises from time, a sense of safety, and stillness. Guided by the principles of Restorative Yoga, participants work with props, attentive breathing, and gentle support. Moving slowly and allowing rather than forcing helps the nervous system return toward balance and a felt sense of wholeness.

Sound Bath Experience For Therapists

A restorative sound bath created specifically for therapists, featuring an immersive singing bowl experience led by Kathie Fuller of Fuller Life Focus. Kathie has spent decades exploring and practicing alternative approaches to personal growth, and she brings a strong dedication to sound therapy. Research on relaxation with sound frequencies notes potential benefits that include reduced stress and anxiety, enhanced focus, better sleep, increased energy, lower blood pressure, and improvements in heart and breathing rates. Texas Music Series: Kelly Willis

Kelly Willis Friday, May 22, 2026 7:30 PM Tickets: $50 Kelly Willis is Back Being Blue, to take a color-coded cue from the title of her seventh album. It’s a shade she wears well, though long-patient fans might just say: You had us at back. They’ll take a new Willis record in whatever hue it comes, now that it’s been 11 years since her last solo release, 2007’s Translated from Love. The Austin-based singer/songwriter has hardly been MIA in the intervening years, having recorded and toured as part of a duo with Bruce Robison. But she’s setting the duet M.O. aside for do-it-alone mode, at least as far as the spotlight is concerned (Robison hovers just outside it this time as producer). Hers is a solo voice again, but it’s not necessarily sotto voce: This is an album of songs about lonesomeness that also happens to be a cracklingly good time. Willis wrote six of the 10 tracks on Back Being Blue by herself, the first time she’s penned that big a portion of one of her albums without outside assists. That doesn’t mean she’s gone into deeply confessional territory for her “Blue” period.
