A paved road ride in Downtown Sherman pairs cycling with a Hot Summer Night concert. Riders can follow a suggested 17 mile route. Pace varies starting around 10 miles per hour, and the club follows a no-drop policy. Helmets are required. Participants must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian, and should already be comfortable riding on the road and in traffic. The event is sponsored by Texoma Cycling Club, and new riders must sign a waiver. After the ride, a free country performance by Sara Evans is planned at Lucy Kidd-Key Park across the street from City Hall, with local food trucks on site. Suggested parking is in the lot just east of City Hall on Mulberry Street across from First United Methodist Church. Bringing a lawn chair is recommended.

Participants explore a slow, scenic creek on a ticketed outing that combines paddling with fossil hunting. Calm water, a canopy of tall trees, and birdsong set the scene while the ancient seabed beneath offers the chance to find fossilized shark teeth. Paddleboards, kayaks, and canoes are suitable on this gentle route, with depths around 3 to 4 feet and a relaxed distance of about a mile or less. The experience includes a narrated paddle and ice cold water. It suits kids 6 and up, beginners, and casual paddlers. Launch is from a gentle grassy slope roughly 100 yards from parking, and roadside parking has no fee. Simple tools help with sifting... a kitchen colander and a small garden spade are recommended. Participants may spend a few hours on the water and can remain longer with their own gear, often dividing time between floating and searching the banks for fossils.

Trevino rose to prominence in the mid 1990s as one of the first popular Hispanic voices in country music since the mid 1970s. Each vendor should bring a table up to six feet in length. Booth locations are assigned by Leapin' Littles, and a few indoor placements will be shared fairly. Registration funds are used only to promote the market. Outdoor sellers may want a small shade option such as an umbrella, since full-size pop-up canopies do not fit in the spaces. To help every child succeed, offerings are curated so each booth presents something distinct. The market will be advertised as cash preferred, and vendors are encouraged to have options like Venmo, Cash App, or Zelle for those who are not carrying cash. Training combines performance diagnostics, structured drills, and individualized coaching to identify what limits your progress, refine the fundamentals that matter, and move beyond the basics. Expect clear, actionable guidance on mechanics, grip, recoil control, sight tracking, and how you process visual information. Participants leave with a deeper understanding of their shooting performance and practical methods to keep improving. Required gear includes a zeroed modern semi-automatic pistol, preferably compact or full size, at least 500 rounds of ammunition, and a Kydex or comparable holster, ideally worn outside the waistband, with no leather allowed. Bring at least three magazines, and a belt-mounted magazine carrier is strongly recommended. Ear and eye protection are required, with electronic hearing protection preferred. Also bring water, snacks, a notepad and pen or a phone for taking notes, and lace-up athletic shoes suitable for movement and running.
