Poetry Workshop: The Open Page Poetry Workshop Series
This poetry workshop series is led by poet and educator Bianca Alyssa Pérez, MFA, and is presented in partnership with and sponsored by Seguin Storytellers at Seguin Public Library. Through reading, writing, group discussion, and collaborative practice, participants explore personal experiences, strengthen their writing voice, and connect with others in a welcoming creative space. Each session functions as its own workshop, so it is possible to attend a single session or take part in the full series. Participation is free and open to ages 14 and older. Bianca Alyssa Pérez is a poet and educator from South Texas. Her debut collection, snake breath, won Hub City Press’ 2026 Deep Line Poetry Prize and is slated for publication in Spring 2027. Her work has appeared in Poetry Daily, The Texas Observer, New York Quarterly, and other publications, and she co-hosts the horror podcast Basement Girls.
