Public Works Fun Day!
Meet the local Public Works crew that supports the city each day. Families and kids can talk with team members, learn about the essential work they do to build, fix, and take care of the community, and get a close look at the big trucks and equipment they use on the job. It offers a friendly way to connect with the people behind these services and to see the tools that keep everything moving. Sterling Municipal Library3D Printing Workshop
Get started with 3D printing in a guided workshop for participants in fourth grade and above. The session takes place in the Media Lab and focuses on creating a new 3D print from idea to finished piece. Children under 13 need a parent or guardian to remain in the library throughout the program. Sterling Municipal LibraryVirtual Reality Night
Virtual Reality Night offers an evening of immersive gameplay in the Front Wilhite Room. Participants in fourth grade and older are welcome, and the Media Lab is open to the same age range. Children under 13 must have a parent or guardian remain in the library during the event. A midsummer gathering at Whimsy Boutique & More features shopping, flowers, jewelry, and sweet treats. Complimentary DIY flower crown making is available for the first 30 guests while supplies last. Alyssa with Everlasting Links will be offering permanent jewelry, and Savannah Chic Beauty will provide tiny tattoos and piercings with a list for those waiting so there is time to browse the boutique. The Petals & Stems Flower Bar invites guests to build a custom bouquet. Texacone will serve ice cream scoops for purchase. Vendor services, bouquets, and ice cream are available for purchase.
