Expect individualized coaching from Gibson, practical hands-on work, and guided group reflection to support learning and emphasize the calming, restorative qualities of the art. Michael P. Gibson brings over 30 years of practice and has shaped more than 700 living sculptures throughout the United States. He champions topiary as both a contemporary art form and a therapeutic discipline, sharing his knowledge through lectures and workshops at cultural institutions. His work has been featured on HGTV’s Clipped, and he served as the first Artist-in-Residence at the Pearl Fryar Topiary Garden. He developed the Gibson Method, combining geometry and storytelling to transform plants into expressive works.
