After starting in abstraction, he turned to realism upon encountering the art of Edward Hopper and later completed multiple residencies at Hopper’s former Cape Cod studio. His paintings have been featured in fourteen solo museum exhibitions and are held in the collections of major American museums. A Newfoundland accent will be developed during rehearsals and is not required at auditions. Additional dialects in the piece include New York, Texas, African, Middle Eastern, and British, and some lines are delivered in Spanish and Hebrew. Book, music, and lyrics by Irene Sankoff and David Hein. Directed by Kate Kale Wolf, with music direction by Mary Villani and choreography by Maria Perehinec.
