Teen Murder Mystery Party
Teens are invited to step into a Gothic-themed mystery where conversation and quick thinking are key. Play as a character or work with a team, talk with other participants, hunt for clues, and build a case for who did it. This interactive experience is free, and registration is required. It is designed for middle and high school-aged youth. The story unfolds at a crumbling mansion in a gritty city with a guest list full of criminals and questionable figures. You might crack the case, or you might become a victim. The Teen Advisory Board hosts the party, and no preparation is needed. Everything is provided at the event, including character sheets, costume props, and snacks. Costumes are welcome but not required, and characters are assigned when you arrive. The game used is Murder at Poe’s Raven Party, a MyMysteryParty.com mystery party title.
Salem Public LibraryBelonging: A Monthly Meet-Up
An easygoing monthly meetup focused on building connections, community, and what we share as humans. Each gathering offers a simple theme to spark conversation, while the format stays open so there is room for real listening and the simple act of being together. Guided by Lauren Smith at Journeys...A Center for Your Soul. There is no fee, and optional donations are welcome.
Inner Teachings of the Tarot
Inner Teachings of the Tarot is a group formed three years ago that meets to strengthen tarot reading skills. This session focuses on the Court cards and invites participants to practice interpreting them using intuition along with notes or books. Activities include practical exercises and simple ritual work to deepen understanding of the cards. There is no cost to attend. Please bring a tarot deck, and bringing two can be helpful for some exercises. Tarot decks and accessories are offered at a 10% discount during the meeting for those who wish to purchase. The gathering is hosted by Karen Walters, co-owner and resident tarot reader at By Candlelight & Conjure.
Wednesday night Trivia @ Heroes
Test your knowledge at Wednesday night trivia at Heroes. The game is professionally hosted, using the venue’s sound system along with nine 55-inch HD TVs and a 130-inch projection screen for a lively experience. Teams of one to ten players take on questions from selected categories, with gift certificate prizes for first, second, and third place that can be used on a future visit. Top performers can also compete for a spot in the Tournament of Champions. Reservations are required and are first come, first served, and teams need to arrive 30 minutes early to keep their table. The venue sits in the southwest corner of the parking lot at the back, next to State Farms and the laundromat.
