PSLA at Fowler High SchoolFull Moon in Scorpio Sound Journey
At the Center for Sound & Ceremony, an immersive Scorpio full moon sound journey focuses on release, transformation, and inner alchemy. This water sign is associated with rebirth, shadow work, truth, and soul evolution, inviting hidden feelings and attachments to surface so they can be cleared and transmuted. Insights shared in The Power Wish by Keiko highlight the full moon as a powerful time to let go of what no longer serves, and Scorpio intensifies that process to help shed old layers and reclaim personal power. The experience blends the tones of crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, the crystal lyre, and other grounding instruments to guide participants into a deeply restorative state where body, mind, and spirit can recalibrate. Some instruments may be played near or around the body so the vibrations can be felt more directly. Many participants report deep nervous system relaxation, reduced stress, emotional release and clearing, greater mental clarity, improved sleep and physical restoration, heightened intuition and inner awareness, and a renewed sense of grounding and peace. Consider reflecting beforehand on what you are ready to release to make room for a renewed version of yourself, then carry that intention through the session as sound supports your process. Wear comfortable clothing, bring water, and consider a journal. Mats, blankets, bolsters, and eye masks are provided for comfort. Plan to arrive early, as the main entrance locks shortly after the start and late entry cannot be accommodated. Allow extra travel time for weather or construction. Classic Comedy Silent Film: "Safety Last" (1923)
Experience a rare big-screen presentation of Harold Lloyd’s 1923 silent romantic comedy Safety Last, accompanied in real time by Dennis James at the console of the Syracuse Wurlitzer theatre organ. The film’s unforgettable image of Lloyd hanging from a giant clock high above bustling streets remains one of cinema’s most enduring scenes. A major success in its day, the picture helped secure Lloyd’s place among early screen legends, and it was later named to the Library of Congress National Film Registry for its cultural and historical significance. Known for performing tailored scores for silent films, Dennis James has a decades-long association with this instrument, bringing classic cinema to life through live music. This program also salutes the centennial of Wurlitzer Opus 1143, built in 1925 in North Tonawanda for the former RKO Keith’s Theatre in Syracuse. Rescued by volunteers in 1966 and moved to the State Fairgrounds, the organ was restored to original factory condition and has entertained audiences for nearly sixty years. It is listed on the American Theatre Organ Society’s National Registry of Historic and Significant Instruments and, in 2016, was designated a National Heritage Pipe Organ by the Organ Historical Society as an instrument of historical significance worthy of preservation. The Empire State Theatre & Musical Instrument Museum, founded in 1966 and chartered as an educational organization, preserves this Wurlitzer as the centerpiece of the Empire Theatre, continuing the tradition of authentic silent film accompaniment and musical interludes. General seating tickets are sold at the door with cash only, with adult and child pricing available. Fresh theatre-style popcorn and other refreshments are offered before and during intermission, and guided visits to the organ’s pipe chambers follow the program.

NYS FairgroundsLee Fields at The Westcott Theater
Lee Fields brings timeless soul to The Westcott Theater. Performing since the 1960s, he has transformed a lifetime of highs and lows into songs that radiate love, conviction, and hard-won wisdom. He championed fellow greats Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley early in their careers and now honors their memory while touring stages around the world. His album It Rains Love captures that outlook, with the Expressions surrounding his voice in warm, unhurried arrangements. Songs like God Is Real and Love Is The Answer embody his message, with subtle touches that reach beyond soul while staying true to its center. After nearly stepping away during the 1980s for real estate and other plans, encouragement at home led him back to music. Today he is a leading voice in the soul revival, and artists such as J. Cole and Travis Scott have sampled tracks from his 2009 album My World. This performance highlights a living history of soul from an artist whose music aims for eternity.
