Hands that Nurture: Perceptions of Masculine Devotion: Unveiling of Malone Tradesmen Sculptures

An unveiling of the Malone Tradesmen sculptures anchors an exhibition of sculpture and photography that looks at masculine devotion, tenderness, and care as they appear in skilled work and everyday tasks. The project grows out of long-term relationships with tradesmen and craftsmen in the Adirondack region, inviting reflection on how labor can express connection. Conceived by Shawndel N. Fraser, a Black woman researcher and artist, the work reflects her sustained collaboration with white rural tradesmen, a quietly countercultural practice rooted in witnessing, mutual care, respect, and genuine connection.

Expect a mix of folk and Americana soul with rock and roll drive, storytelling, and songwriting focused on real human connection. Burnout Community Circle

A supportive community circle explores burnout as more than simply being tired or overloaded. It looks at the deeper patterns and learned behaviors that can touch every part of life and keep the nervous system stuck in survival mode, which can make change feel out of reach. There is real encouragement here, because you are not alone, things can improve, and prevention is possible. This monthly gathering offers a warm, judgment-free space to share what brought you to burnout and to be seen and heard as you are. Conversation focuses on recognizing root causes and warning signs, growing self-awareness, and stepping back from the habit of overextending yourself to prove your worth. Days and times vary each month, so check the event for the latest schedule. For more information, call or text Tammy at 315.777.5178 or email triskelehgl@gmail.com.
