Three Crosses Regional Hospital Community Health Fair

In celebration of Patient Experience Week, Three Crosses Regional Hospital is presenting a community health fair in the hospital’s main lobby to share health education and services with the community. Guests can get blood pressure and weight checks, learn from lab and pharmacy teams, explore nutrition and heart health information, connect with resources from Internal Medicine and Southwest Heart, and receive guidance on advanced directives. The event includes collaboration with local organizations to help people stay healthy, informed, and connected.

The Great American Roadshow brings a free, five-day buying event to Las Cruces at Holiday Inn Express. Clear out items you no longer use and find out what they are worth. Munson Library Dungeons and Dragons

Big Into Magic (the Gathering)

Come play Magic the Gathering. Players of all ages may play any MTG format, but the focus will primarily be on the Commander format. Commander deck sizes are 99 cards + 1 commander card. The game duration for this format should be about 20 minutes per player. In this casual, multiplayer format, you choose a legendary creature to serve as your commander and build the rest of your deck around their color identity and unique abilities. Players are only allowed one of each card in their deck, with the exception of basic lands, but they can use cards from throughout Magics history. No registration is required.

Teen Takeover: The Night Owls

Teens in grades 6-12 can participate in a weekly drop-in activity. Participants will build, create, experiment, and explore. Free pizza will be provided.

This monthly Queer Night takes place every last Thursday at an LGBTQIA+ community hub that is also a restaurant, coffeeshop, and bar. Community Information Meeting

As the region grows, the South Central Solid Waste Authority is planning for increased waste needs and will hold an informational meeting about the East Mesa Transfer Station project. Community members can learn about the planned construction, ask questions, and review data related to the Holman Road facility with representatives from the South Central Solid Waste Authority. K-pop supergroup BTS is visiting the El Paso Sun Bowl for the weekend, and Thomas Branigan Memorial Library is hosting a concert pre-party in celebration of the Arirang album world tour. The gathering features a K-pop sing-along along with chances to make photocard holders, keychains, friendship bracelets, concert sunglasses, and BTS-inspired designs for Perler beads, plus more creative fun. The celebration also honors Asian American Heritage Month.

Aggie Rememberance Day

Rooted in campus tradition, this ceremony honors members of the Aggie community who have passed away during the past year. Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are remembered as the community gathers to reflect. Opening Reception: "Where We Ended Up: 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibition"

UAM presents an MFA thesis exhibition highlighting the culminating work of NMSU Department of Art candidates Arch Jones and Ezekiel Martey. An opening reception introduces this two person show, which spans ceramics, painting, found materials, and immersive installation to reflect the artists’ research and development in the graduate program. Arch Jones is an interdisciplinary artist focused on painting and installation. Using immersive storytelling and a framework that plays with scientific terminology from anthropology, Jones addresses fears and discomfort that white Americans have projected onto BIPOC individuals. Originally from Minneapolis, Jones earned a BA in Art from St. Cloud State University, taught high school art, and has exhibited in California, Colorado, Minnesota, and New Mexico. Jones has attended workshops at Highpoint Center for Printmaking and Anderson Ranch Art Center, received the President’s Award at the NMSU Juried Student Show, and completed a residency at the Fish Factory in Stöðvarfjörður, Iceland. Based in New Mexico, Jones is completing an MFA at NMSU and has been invited to the Apapacho Residency program in Mexico City. Ezekiel Martey is a Ghanaian interdisciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, jewelry, and metalsmithing. His practice draws on lived experience and collective histories of labor, waiting, and adaptation, with attention to the often unseen pressures surrounding migration. A graduate of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology who moved to the United States for graduate study, Martey has shown work nationally and internationally and has received recognition including an Honorable Mention from the Society of North American Goldsmiths. He is based in New Mexico and is completing an MFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing at New Mexico State University.

Into the Woods intertwines classic Brothers Grimm tales in a Tony Award winning musical that explores what happens after wishes come true. A baker and his wife long for a child, Cinderella dreams of attending the King’s Festival, and Jack hopes his cow will finally give milk, all on a path where their stories intersect and consequences unfold. The production highlights the work of composer Stephen Sondheim. A preview performance offers half-price admission, with complimentary entry for high school students who present a valid school ID. Doña Ana Communities United partners with Cruces Creatives and Plugged In For Good to offer a free Fix-It Fair at Cruces Creatives. Community members can bring carry-in household items and work side by side with skilled volunteers who will try to repair them while sharing tips and techniques. The goal is to cut waste, save money, and strengthen connections through collaborative skill sharing. If you can carry it, it is likely eligible for a repair attempt. Items that cannot be accepted include TVs, microwaves, machines with gas engines, and large appliances. Free and open to all. North America Diving Dogs

North America Diving Dogs brings the excitement of dock diving to competitors of every background by working with facilities and teams across the continent. Titles earned at this event are recognized by the American Kennel Club through its Title Recognition Program and by the CKC, and dogs do not need to be AKC registered to compete. New participants can often find training options at many dock diving facilities. All breeds and mixes are welcome. Divisions are designed so dogs of different sizes and ages can succeed, with an Open class for any size, a Lap Class for dogs under 16 inches at the withers that pursue the same titles with shorter jump requirements, and a Veterans division for dogs that turn 8 before the season ends. Veteran selection follows the distance veterans process, with the top veteran in each discipline at a qualifier receiving an invitation unless that dog has already finished in the top three in that division for that event. Every qualifying jump counts toward NADD titles, and those achievements add up across a dog’s entire career. Across multiple days, the schedule features Hydro Dash, Air Retrieve, and Distance Jump sessions identified as Splashes. The event opens with Hydro Dash (Splash 301) and Air Retrieve (Splash 101), continues with Distance Jump Splashes 1 through 4 alongside Air Retrieve (Splash 102), then adds Air Retrieve (Splash 103) with Distance Jump Splashes 5 through 8, and wraps up with Hydro Dash (Splash 302) and Distance Jump Splashes 9 through 12.

Trail Grand Opening

This event marks the official opening of a new connector trail linking Tortugas Mountain with the Soledad Canyon multi-use path. Built through the efforts of SNMTA and many volunteers, the route is complete and already in use. Breakfast snacks and coffee will be available, followed by a brief announcement to mark the opening and time to visit and enjoy the trail. Leasburg Dam State Park Public Viewing

The Leasburg Dam observatory opens to the public each month on the Saturday closest to the third quarter Moon. Members from the Astronomical Society of Las Cruces will be on hand to operate the 16" Meade SCT, as well as other telescopes. If the sky is clear and the Moon is below the horizon, you can see the Milky Way. Through the telescopes, you can view nebulae, globular clusters, planetary nebulae, and far away galaxies.

FIT4MOM Meetup | Salad in a Jar

This meetup takes place at Sagecrest Park following Stroller Strides and focuses on simple meal prep with Salad in a Jar. Participants bring two to three empty jars, preferably quart-size mason jars or clean spaghetti sauce jars, along with three salad ingredients to share. Possible contributions include leafy greens like romaine, spinach, spring mix, or arugula; vegetables such as carrots, tomatoes, broccoli, peppers, celery, onion, cucumbers, mushrooms, peas, corn, or avocado; proteins like meat, eggs, cheese, quinoa, or beans; plus fruit, nuts or seeds, and dressing. Public Haunted Courthouse & Jail Tour

Take a candlelit walk through the historic Dona Ana Courthouse and Jail on a guided haunted history tour. Guides lead you through dark corridors and foreboding rooms of the 1937 courthouse and the jail annex, highlighting areas where investigators have documented unusual activity such as doors opening and closing on their own, voices of men, women and a little girl, and furniture that seems to move by itself. Along the route, they replay audio captured in several paranormal hot spots throughout the 37,000 square foot, three story building and the 17,000 square foot jail annex. The tour wraps up in the old prison yard with firsthand ghost storytelling around a fire pit with camp chairs. Bathrooms are available on site. The experience lasts about 2.5 hours and is led by professional guides. Admission is $29 per person plus tax, and participants must be 16 or older. A group photo is taken in the jail, complimentary cold bottled water is provided, and custom 1937 Haunted Courthouse souvenir T shirts are available for purchase for $20. Reservations are required and walk ups are not accepted.

Farewell to Zilla

A memorial service and celebration of life honors Zilla, the Museum System’s longtime common snapping turtle, at the Museum of Nature & Science, where he once lived. The program reflects on his many years with the museums and offers a thoughtful moment to remember a familiar resident. Museum staff pursued all available expert care, and a post-mortem necropsy determined that Zilla had cancer. After more than thirty years with the Museum System, he passed peacefully in his sleep. LCR Fest

LCR FEST is a one-day, all-ages benefit at The Destination in Las Cruces, NM, showcasing more than eleven bands on two stages with local vendors on site. All net proceeds support KTAL-LP 101.5, the community radio station serving Las Cruces and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The event is completely volunteer run, and every ticket helps keep community radio on the air.

FREE Summer Youth Running Program

Las Cruces Running Club presents an annual summer youth running program made up of four free events for young runners. This session takes place at La Llorona Park. 2026 MMC National Cancer Survivors Day Celebration

An ocean themed National Cancer Survivors Day celebration is taking place at Memorial Medical Center in the Annex Conference Rooms on the west side of the campus. It is open to individuals currently facing cancer as well as those with a previous cancer diagnosis. Activities include games and entertainment, with prizes and refreshments provided. Each attendee may bring one guest, and no RSVP is required.

Mesilla Valley Timebank Orientation

Learn how timebanking works in an orientation that explains how to exchange skills with neighbors. Every hour of help counts the same, so you can offer talents like gardening, tutoring, rides, or companionship and also request support when you need it. This one hour session covers getting started, navigating the platform, and connecting with a community of more than 450 members. The orientation is held in the Roadrunner Room at Thomas Branigan Memorial Library. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome. No prior experience is required.
