Magic: The Gathering Commander Tuesday Casual Gaming

Casual Magic: The Gathering Commander pods feature multiplayer games in the EDH format. Players choose a legendary creature to lead their deck, then build the rest to match that commander's color identity and abilities. Each deck uses 99 cards plus the commander, and with the exception of basic lands, only one copy of any card is permitted. Cards from throughout Magic's history are allowed, encouraging a wide variety of strategies.

Marine Science Camp Enrichment @ Pt. Pleasant

This marine science enrichment series at Point Boro High School is designed for children ages 5 to 11. Taught by working marine scientists from New Logic Marine Science Camp, the hands-on sessions invite students to explore topics such as sharks and rays, coral reefs, marine fossils, and deep-sea life. Participants examine real specimens, observe live marine animals, take part in interactive experiments, and create projects to bring home. The program fosters curiosity, strengthens teamwork, and builds core STEM skills. The cost is $155.

Hello Spring Gift Auction

This gift auction features prize drawings in support of Science Research For All. It will be held in the cafetorium at Toms River High School East. Admission is $20 per person, and after purchase tickets are mailed by Science Research For All, LLC, so a valid mailing address is needed. Seating is unassigned and available on a first come, first served basis, and attendees must be 18 years of age or older. Guests may bring their own food and refreshments, though open alcohol is not permitted. A 50/50 raffle will take place, and participants can drop tickets prior to the number calling when winners are announced. All sales are a non-refundable donation, with all proceeds benefiting Science Research For All, LLC. ID #107-5-42900.

Yu-Gi-Oh! - Weekly OTS Locals at ECG

A weekly OTS locals event at East Coast Gamer for Yu-Gi-Oh! uses the Advanced Constructed format with the current TCG banlist. Entry is $10. Each participant receives two OTS participation packs, and an additional prize pool is built at 0.5 OTS pack plus 2.5 packs of sealed Yu-Gi-Oh! product per player. Prizes are paid out to X-0 and X-1 records, and all other records receive one pack of sealed product for playing.

Wheel Club: Grades 5-8

A wheel throwing program at Wish welcomes students in grades 5 through 8. Attend weekly or stop in when it works. Beginners receive guidance in centering clay and throwing on the wheel, while returning participants build skills with trimming, carving, adding handles, and glazing. It offers a tactile, screen-free creative outlet. Each session includes the use of up to four pounds of clay and one fired piece. Class sizes are kept very small, with only four students per session. Those enrolled in multiple sessions receive a dedicated spot to store works in progress.

This fulldome presentation lasts about 25 minutes and follows a sunset journey from the Grand Canyon to the North Pole, then shifts to a tranquil night sky filled with stars and occasional views of the Northern Lights.

For Fun Franchise Deck Event

Content advisory includes themes related to conception, pregnancy or childbirth, depictions suggestive of psychedelic mushrooms, and skeleton or death imagery. The show features flashing lights and rapid image changes that could affect photosensitive viewers.

Paddle for Oahu Paddle Race

Set on the bayside in Seaside Heights near Stewarts Root Beer, this paddle race features 1 mile and 5 mile courses for SUP, prone, kayak, canoe, lifeguard boat, surf ski, and OC-1. Trophies will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category by gender. A suggested donation of $50 supports the event. Organizers are finalizing additional details and are seeking a T-shirt sponsor, aiming to raise about $1,800 to provide shirts for all participants.

Under the dome, a live presenter guides school-age kids through the sun and moon, changing weather, familiar constellations, and the planets visible in the sky right now. Stories, songs, and a passing rainstorm effect keep the learning lively for children and their families. Point Boro Athletic Boosters Tournament

A community pickleball fundraiser returns to the Point Pleasant Borough High School tennis courts for its second installment, with all proceeds supporting student athletes at Point Boro High School. Play will take place on six tennis courts lined for pickleball, using temporary pickleball nets and Franklin X-40 balls. Competition features mixed doubles, women’s doubles, and men’s doubles. The entry fee is $50 for the first event, and each additional event is $25, so entering both mixed doubles and a gender doubles event totals $75. Pools will be organized by format and skill level. The tournament uses a round robin setup, followed by single elimination for the top three.

Classes and regulations have been updated to support a fun, safe, and fair experience. The event highlights thoughtful setup, smart strategy, and good sportsmanship, not just raw speed, in the spirit promoted by Tamiya Japan. Categories include a Junior class for racers 14 and under that follows box stock rules. The Box Stock category requires cars to use only parts included with the kit and the standard motor, with no mixing of parts from other kits and no modifications. The Tuned class allows off-the-shelf upgrades or mixing parts from other kits, but no chassis or parts modifications such as trimming for clearance or pierced wheels. Polycarbonate bodies are permitted and may be trimmed, painted, and stickered for design, while remaining identifiable and mounted with the body catch. Motors in this class are limited to normal and Tuned series. BMax is also included. Open or Outlaw allows off-the-shelf upgrades and mixing parts from other kits, and modifications to parts are permitted within Tamiya regulations. In this category, Tamiya Mini 4WD motors up to Sprint Dash single shaft and Mach Dash Pro double shaft are allowed, while Jet Dash, Ultra Dash, and Plasma Dash are prohibited. Special changes or additional categories may be introduced at the organizer’s discretion. When We Remember brings a country flavor and finds Midón picking up the banjo from his home studio. At Brick Township High School's East Gym, the Brick Township Policemen's Benevolent Association presents its 36th annual Helping Hands charity basketball game, with members of the Brick Township Police Department facing the Brick Township Green Dragon football team on the court. Proceeds support the family of five-year-old James Bitzer, who is being treated for Stage 4 neuroblastoma and is in a second relapse, helping parents Jason and Beta address the financial strain of care at specialized hospitals. The 36th Annual Summer Fest in the Park brings a full weekend of family friendly fun to Community Park. Festivities begin with a kickoff celebration featuring a wine and beer garden and live music. Hot Rods and Hose Lines Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show for Forked River Fire Company

Forked River Fire Company presents its first car, truck, and motorcycle show at Argos Farm. The event is family friendly and pet friendly. All years, makes, and models are welcome to display. Registration is $20 on the day of the show with no pre-registration. A limited number of VIP spaces will be available, with details to be announced. Attendees can look forward to raffles, prizes, and giveaways, more than 85 trophies and specialty awards, and a special award for dogs. Big Al of Jersey Shore Car Shows will provide DJ and live music. Food trucks and vendors will be on site. Car clubs and groups are welcome, and clubs can compete for the Best Represented Club award. Groups that want to park together should arrive together. Proceeds benefit the Forked River Fire Company, a 100 percent volunteer fire department.

Hollywoof 2026

Hollywoof 2026 brings a festive day of fun, food, and furry companions to Blue Claws Stadium, all in support of the homeless animals of Rescue Ridge. Tickets are $45 in advance or $55 at the door for adults, and $15 in advance or $20 at the door for children ages 12 and under. Each ticket includes one boxed lunch and giveaways, with wag bags for the first 400 arrivals. Expect lively entertainment, a 50/50 raffle, and more than 400 baskets.

A contractor threatens to demolish the lighthouse unless the community raises $100,000, and old Captain Marlow’s treasure map disappears from the town hall, setting the beach detective club on a race to unravel the case. Participants gather evidence and speak with witnesses while building core literacy skills. The program emphasizes reading comprehension and language-based learning for kids who need extra support, blending problem solving with a fun, story-driven adventure. Space is limited.

Exploration of Reiki Symbols

Deepen your Reiki practice with a hands-on exploration of sacred symbols in Toms River. Designed for students with Reiki Level One or higher, this workshop focuses on using symbols to direct and amplify healing energy for clear, purposeful intentions. The Master symbol is not included in this curriculum. Participants will explore both traditional and nontraditional symbols, looking at their meanings, practical uses, and intentions. As the group moves through the material, you will attune with each symbol and practice activating it by sketching, visualizing, and speaking its name. Creative art activities help integrate the energetic qualities, and the session concludes with a Reiki share style treatment exchange that puts the symbols into practice. Please bring a lunch or snack for the break. The fee is $75, and enrollment is limited to a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 participants.
