North 2 Shore Presents Winyah

Presented by North 2 Shore, Winyah brings a bold mix of Southern spirit and indie rock grit to The Stone Pony. Formed in 2023 and named after the South Carolina bay where four of the five members grew up, the group draws on humid nights, endless highways, and small-town tensions to shape its sound. When an unexpected Bonnaroo opportunity arrived with only three songs and five weeks to prepare, the band camped on a friend’s couch, rehearsed in a borrowed warehouse, and crafted its debut, Lot to Learn, from the ground up. That sprint sparked 25 million global streams, sold-out tours, and festival spots ranging from Bonnaroo to Lollapalooza. This all ages show spotlights Winyah’s raw, restless southern rock energy at The Stone Pony.

LaMP

Presented by North 2 Shore and ElmThree, LaMP brings the collaborative power of drummer Russ Lawton, guitarist Scott Metzger, and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski to Wonder Bar. The trio first connected during a memorable night at Nectar’s in Burlington, Vermont in 2018, then returned to Vermont the following spring to record with engineer Roger Stauss at Sugarhouse Soundworks, resulting in a self-titled EP built from seven tightly knit tracks. Metzger, a member of Joe Russo’s Almost Dead and praised by The Village Voice for his range, locks in with the long-running rapport between Lawton and Paczkowski, developed in Trey Anastasio Band and their duo project Soule Monde. Their live sound highlights the conversation between swirling organ and clavinet, agile Telecaster lines, and a rock-solid backbeat, a blend they have taken to stages across the East Coast whenever schedules allow. Admission is limited to ages 21 and over.

Magnolia Summer Experience 2026

Designed for ages 9 to 14, this two-morning sanctuary program invites participants to experience rescue life up close and grow their empathy through meaningful, hands-on care. Children meet horses, goats, and cows, help with morning feedings, refresh water and hay, and collect fresh eggs to take home. Guided sessions introduce horse care, grooming, and safe handling, along with creative enrichment like making fruit-based treats for the horses. Time in the goat pen offers relaxed moments to laugh and bond with some especially playful residents. The second day features a tie-dye activity where participants bring an item to personalize, and the experience concludes with a celebratory frozen treat. The emphasis is on building responsibility, kindness, and lasting respect for animal welfare. This is a drop-off experience for ages 9–14, priced at $150 per child, with limited spots to keep interactions personal. All interactions happen on the animals’ terms, and paddocks may be closed at any time to ensure the well-being of both residents and guests since the sanctuary is a rescue rather than a petting zoo. Tickets are nonrefundable, and purchases support ongoing care at Magnolia Equine Sanctuary. If weather or an unforeseen situation interrupts plans, the program will be rescheduled and tickets will be moved to the new date.

Long Branch Ocean Swim | Friday - June 26 (7am)

Take part in an organized open water ocean swim off the beach at Pier Village in Long Branch, led by coach Brian Shea. The session is intended for swimmers who can cover more than 500 yards unassisted and feel comfortable in deep water. The route follows an approximately 500 meter loop marked by buoys, creating a straightforward setting to practice sighting and navigation. You can swim as little or as much as you wish within an hour. Safety is a priority, with at least two lifeguards in the water on a board or kayak. Swimmers meet at the lifeguard stand on the beach at Pier Village, and metered parking is available nearby. A suggested donation of 10 dollars per swim, or three swims for 20 dollars, helps cover lifeguards and equipment, with contributions collected in a labeled canister at the lifeguard stand. Water temperatures often range from 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit, so a wetsuit may be useful for those who get cold. Wetsuit rentals are available and billed at 25 dollars per day; include your height, weight, and the date needed when arranging, and try to set this up well in advance. Although the swim is guarded, participants should be self sufficient and not require assistance except in emergencies. Those brand new to open water may wish to start with a beginner clinic. Plans may change if weather or ocean conditions are unfavorable, so check for updates beforehand. Coach Brian is the founder and head coach of Jersey Shore Masters, a certified coach with more than three decades in endurance sports, multiple Ironman finishes including Hawaii, and consistent top results at national lifesaving and distance swim events.

Long Branch Ocean Swim | Monday - June 29 (630pm)

Take part in a coached open water swim at Pier Village in Long Branch, led by Coach Brian Shea. This session is designed for swimmers who can comfortably cover more than 500 yards without assistance. It uses a roughly 500 meter buoy-marked loop just off the beach and runs for up to an hour, giving participants the chance to swim as much or as little as they like while practicing sighting and navigation. Safety is a priority with at least two lifeguards in the water on boards or kayaks. Swimmers should be confident in deep water and able to exceed 400 meters without stopping, with lifeguard support reserved for emergencies. Expect cool ocean temperatures around 55 to 65 degrees Fahrenheit, so a wetsuit is strongly recommended. Rentals are available for a daily fee and should be arranged in advance with sizing details and the date needed. Meet at the lifeguard stand on the beach at Pier Village. Metered parking is available nearby. The swim may be canceled if weather or ocean conditions are unfavorable, so check the event page for updates before heading out. A suggested donation of $10 per swim, or three swims for $20, supports the lifeguards and equipment. A labeled canister will be set up on the beach for contributions. Coach Brian Shea brings decades of experience as an endurance athlete, coach, and consultant. He is the founder and head coach of Jersey Shore Masters, has multiple Ironman finishes including Hawaii, and has earned recent top results in an 8 mile ocean swim along with podiums at the United States Lifesaving Association National Championships. He also coaches athletes across all levels, from beginners to professionals.

Long Branch Ocean Swim | Friday - July 3 (7am)

Take on an open water ocean swim at the beach by Pier Village in Long Branch, led by Coach Brian Shea. This session welcomes capable swimmers who can confidently cover more than 500 yards in deep water without stopping and without assistance. The course follows a buoy-marked loop of about 500 meters just off the shore, creating a practical setting to work on sighting and navigation. You can complete as much or as little as you prefer within the session’s window. Safety is a priority, with at least two lifeguards positioned in the water on a board or kayak to monitor the group. Meet at the lifeguard tower on the beach at Pier Village. A suggested donation of $10 per swim, or three swims for $20, supports lifeguards and equipment, with contributions collected in a labeled canister at the lifeguard stand. Ocean temperatures often fall between 55 and 65 degrees Fahrenheit, so consider a wetsuit if you tend to get cold. Wetsuit rentals are available for $25 per day. Those brand new to open water are encouraged to begin with a beginner-focused clinic. Plans may change based on surf and weather, so check for updates before heading out. Beginner Ocean Swim Clinic: Saturday - July 4 (645am)

A beginner-friendly ocean swim clinic at Long Branch Pier offers hands-on guidance for newcomers to open water and for anyone preparing for a first triathlon or open water race. The session starts on the beach with clear instruction on safety, equipment, and strategy, with time for questions, then continues in the ocean on a short rectangular course marked by buoys, about 150 yards in total. Coach Brian will be in the water alongside participants, with two certified lifeguards on boards close by for support. Advance registration is required and space is limited. The clinic is provided as a courtesy to help new ocean swimmers build confidence and feel ready to join regular group swims. A suggested $20 cash donation helps cover equipment and lifeguard staffing, collected at a labeled canister near the meeting spot. Bring a swimsuit, a cap if you have long hair, goggles, a towel, drinking water, a notepad and pen for on‑land tips, and a bag for wet gear. The ocean is typically on the cool side near the low 60s Fahrenheit, so a wetsuit is strongly encouraged. Rentals are available for $25, and swimmers who have arranged one will receive pickup details separately. The group meets on the beach by the lifeguard tower in Pier Village at Long Branch Pier. Metered parking is available in and around Pier Village. If weather or surf conditions require a change, registered swimmers will be notified by email ahead of time and alternate dates will be offered. The clinic is led by Coach Brian Shea, Head Coach and Founder of Jersey Shore Masters, an experienced endurance athlete, coach, and consultant with more than two decades in the sport. His background includes multiple Ironman finishes including the world championship in Hawaii, repeated top ten results at the nine mile Swim for Alligator Light, and podium finishes at the United States Lifesaving Association National Championships. He is a certified coach who designs training and sports nutrition programs for athletes from beginners to professionals.

July 4 Long Branch Ocean Swim | Saturday - July 4 (6am)

An open water ocean swim at Long Branch Beach in Pier Village invites confident swimmers to practice in the surf under the guidance of Coach Brian Shea. The course follows an approximately 500 meter loop just off the beach, marked with buoys to help with sighting and navigation. Participants who can swim more than 500 yards unassisted are welcome to complete as many or as few laps as they prefer during the session. This is a guarded swim with at least two lifeguards positioned in the water on boards or kayaks for safety. Swimmers meet at the lifeguard stand on the beach at Pier Village, and metered parking is available nearby, with the Flowbird app recommended for payment. A suggested donation of $10 per swim, or three swims for $20, helps cover lifeguards and equipment, and contributions are collected in a labeled canister at the lifeguard stand. Ocean temperatures commonly range from the low 60s to around 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so a wetsuit is recommended if needed. Wetsuit rentals are available for a daily fee and should be reserved ahead of time. All participants should be comfortable swimming continuously in deep water without assistance. Those new to open water may benefit from an introductory clinic to build skills and confidence. Please check for updates before heading out, as the swim may be cancelled if weather or ocean conditions are unfavorable. Coach Brian brings extensive experience as an endurance athlete and certified coach, serving as the founder and head coach of Jersey Shore Masters, with multiple Ironman finishes including Hawaii, strong results at the Swim for Alligator Light, and podium finishes at the United States Lifesaving Association National Championships.

Long Branch Ocean Swim | Friday - July 10 (7am)

This coached open water ocean swim at Long Branch Beach in Pier Village is led by Coach Brian Shea and is designed for swimmers who can comfortably cover more than 500 yards without assistance. The course follows a roughly 500 meter buoyed loop that is ideal for practicing sighting and navigation. Participants may swim as much or as little as they like within a one hour session, provided they finish within that window. Safety is a priority with at least two lifeguards in the water on boards or kayaks. Meet at the lifeguard tower on the beach in Pier Village, and note that metered parking is available nearby. Plans may change if weather or ocean conditions are unfavorable, so please check for updates before heading out. Water temperatures are typically in the 60 to 70 degree Fahrenheit range, and a wetsuit is recommended if cooler water could be an issue. Wetsuit rentals are available for a daily fee, and requests should be arranged in advance with height, weight, and the date needed. All swimmers should be confident in deep water beyond 500 meters and able to complete the session without relying on lifeguard assistance. Those new to open water may wish to start with a beginner clinic offered by the organizers. A suggested donation of $10 per swim, or three swims for $20, helps cover lifeguards and equipment, with contributions collected at a labeled canister on the lifeguard stand. Coach Brian brings extensive experience as an athlete, coach, and consultant, is the founder and head coach of Jersey Shore Masters, has competed from 5K to ultradistance events and Ironman including Hawaii, and has earned multiple podiums at the United States Lifesaving Association National Championships along with numerous Top-10 finishes at the Annual Swim for Alligator Light.

ElmThree Presents: The Skatalites

After an early split, the members stayed active as ska flowed into rocksteady and reggae, then reunited in the 1980s for notable appearances at Reggae Sunsplash in Montego Bay and London, later playing New York’s Village Gate, supporting Bunny Wailer, and launching headline tours across the United States. Long Branch Ocean Swim | Monday - July 13 (630pm)

Take on an open water ocean swim at Long Branch Beach in Pier Village, guided by Coach Brian Shea. The session uses a buoy-marked loop of roughly 500 meters just off the beach, creating a helpful setting to practice sighting and navigation. Swim as much or as little as you like within the session, which runs up to an hour, and plan to finish within that window. This is a guarded swim with at least two lifeguards in the water on boards or a kayak. Participants should be able to swim more than 500 yards unassisted and feel comfortable covering over 400 meters in deep water without stopping. Meet at the lifeguard stand on the beach at Pier Village. Metered parking is available in the area. Expect water temperatures around 55 to 65°F and consider a wetsuit if you are sensitive to cooler water. Wetsuit rentals are available and are billed at $25 per day; request them in advance and include your height, weight, and the date needed. A suggested donation of $10 per swim, or three swims for $20, helps cover lifeguards and equipment. Contributions are collected in a labeled canister at the meeting point. Check the event page for current ocean conditions and updates, as the swim may be canceled if weather or surf conditions are unfavorable. Coach Brian is the founder and coach of Jersey Shore Masters, bringing more than 35 years in endurance sports, multiple Ironman finishes including Hawaii, and notable results in long distance open water events, along with experience coaching athletes from beginners to professionals.

Recommended items include a swimsuit, cap if needed, goggles, a notepad and pen, water, a towel, and a bag for wet gear. Take part in a guided open water ocean swim off the beach at Pier Village in Long Branch, led by Coach Brian Shea. This session is intended for swimmers who can comfortably cover more than 500 yards without assistance. The route follows a buoyed loop of roughly 500 meters just offshore, which is ideal for practicing sighting and navigation. You can complete as many or as few loops as you like, as long as the session stays within an hour. Safety is a priority, with at least two lifeguards monitoring from rescue boards or a kayak. Meet at the lifeguard stand on the Pier Village beach. Metered parking is available in the area. Please check for updates before heading out, as the swim may be canceled if weather or ocean conditions are unfavorable. Water temperatures often range from 60 to 70 F, so a wetsuit is recommended if you are sensitive to cooler water. Wetsuit rentals are available for $25 per day. Participants should be confident swimming more than 400 meters continuously in deep water and should not rely on lifeguard support except in emergencies. Those new to open water are encouraged to consider a beginner clinic to build confidence. Enjoy Every Sandwich: A Tribute to Warren Zevon

Pat Guadagno leads an all-star ensemble at The Vogel to honor the songs and spirit of Warren Zevon. The concert highlights signature favorites like “Werewolves of London” and “Lawyers, Guns & Money” while exploring a far-reaching catalog championed by Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks, Jackson Browne, Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Garcia, and Guadagno himself. Guadagno’s recording of “Don’t Let Us Get Sick” reached a global audience through Showtime’s award-winning series Californication. The performance channels Zevon’s sharp wit, dark humor, and vivid storytelling with the care and intensity that define Guadagno’s approach. The tribute also reflects on Zevon’s legacy as a revered songwriter, marked by his induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 23 years after his death from a rare form of cancer. A 10-piece band of “Gunslingers” drives the sound, featuring current American Idol finalist Jake Thistle, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Vini “Mad Dog” Lopez, and award-winning singer, songwriter, activist, and producer Arlan Feiles. This show is part of Guadagno’s ongoing series of musical celebrations that have saluted Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Tom Waits, John Prine, Leonard Cohen, Hank Williams, and Gram Parsons through productions such as BobFest, A Marvelous Night, Heart of Saturday Night, Souvenirs, Hallelujah, 100 Years of Hank, and 20,000 Roads.

Hot Tuna

Hot Tuna brings decades of creative musicianship to the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre on the Basie Center campus, led by the longtime partnership of guitarist Jorma Kaukonen and bassist Jack Casady. Formed in the late 1960s as a separate outlet from their work in Jefferson Airplane, the project grew into a band known for spontaneity and constant reinvention. Their first release in 1970, recorded live, set the tone with performances that change from night to night and thrive on open‑ended interplay. Across more than a dozen albums, the music has shifted from acoustic blues to electric rock, including the heavier turn marked by America’s Choice, Yellow Fever, and Hoppkorv. Listeners embraced songs like Keep On Truckin, and the shows earned a reputation for extended improvisations and long, free-flowing sets. Onstage the group has appeared as an intimate duo or with rotating collaborators, yet the core remains the deep musical conversation between Kaukonen and Casady. Both have been honored with induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and they continue to let each song take shape through close listening and instinctive chemistry.
