Painting with Wool: Spring Landscapes
Create a spring landscape with needle felting, working from a photo you bring or choosing one that will be available. A canvas, a felting needle as your brush, and soft wool as your paints are provided, and you will leave with a finished piece ready to frame or add to another project. All materials are included. Tuition is $40, and space is limited to eight participants. The studio is on the lower level at the back of the building, and there is plenty of parking.

DJ Trivia hosts an interactive trivia night at Pizzeria Zacharia. Teams go head to head for prizes awarded to the top three, and food is available to enjoy while you play. Spend time with friends and meet new people during a lively, social game.

Safe Sitter offers a hands-on class for students in grades 6-8 focused on staying safe when home alone, supervising younger siblings, or babysitting. Through engaging activities and role plays, participants learn how to prevent unsafe situations and respond to challenges such as power outages and severe weather. The course covers behavior management and the ages and stages of child development, along with rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR, plus how to assess and address injuries and illnesses. It also introduces job readiness topics, including how to screen babysitting jobs, discuss fees, and greet employers, with plenty of practice built in. The session takes place at the Wasserman Park Function Hall, and the fee is $90 per person.

Amazing Athletes and Merrimack Parks and Rec offer weekly classes at Wasserman Park where young children explore as many as ten sports. These sessions keep kids active and engaged while building confidence, physical literacy, gross motor development, social skills, and teamwork with guidance from supportive coaches in an educational setting. There are two options, with Tots for ages 1.5 to 2.5 and Amazing Athletes for ages 2.5 to 5. Each class costs $16 and is billed monthly for flexible participation.
